HELLO! HERE'S THE EDITED CHAPTER! I finally got around to doing it! *claps for herself*

Chapter 1-

You! I want you,' said the dark-brown haired kid pointing at me.

'Excuse me?' I asked. I was oblivious to what he was saying, being the new kid. But the way he said 'I want you' infuriated me. Who even says that to a stranger? I didn't even know who he was but the way every kid in the school turned to look at us as soon as he said that line, I figured he was popular.

'I want you to be my date for the party at Brian's place tomorrow.' he replied nonchalantly.

'And why would I oblige?' I asked raising an eyebrow.

I could hear whispers around me which sounded vaguely like 'Why her?'.

'Because you think I'm incredibly sexy.' he said smirking. I bet he was enjoying the audience.

Even though he had managed to annoy me in ten seconds flat, I couldn't argue with what he said. He was good looking. He had dark brown tousled hair with violet coloured eyes. The problem was, he just didn't do it for me. The self satisfied smirk on his face, his body language which screamed arrogance really put me off. Except the eyes. The eyes were drool-worthy.

I gave him a flat look. 'No.'

A flicker of surprise crossed his face. 'What did you say?' he asked advancing towards me.

I held my ground. 'I am not going to be your date.'

He looked around embarrassed. I was now glad that we had an audience. I wasn't the one who just got rejected publicly. I smirked. However, he regained his composure in two seconds and faced me again.

'Why not?' he asked.

'You're not my type.' I said shrugging.

'I'm everyone's type.' he said and narrowed his eyes.

'No, you're not mine,' I said in a bored voice.

'Oh, babe, mark my words, you will go to the party with me tomorrow.' he said resolutely and walked away.

I stared at his back speechlessly. Did that just happen?

I turned to Lucy who I had made friends with in English. 'What the hell was that?'

'That was Jake Reynolds and he's the school's biggest playboy. Also, the most popular student. He gets straight A's and also the most number of girls in his bed. Every girl chases him even though they know they're gonna be treated like filth,' said Lucy matter-of-factly.

I shake my head in disbelief. 'Are the girls in this school so stupid?'

Lucky nodded. 'Except me, of course.'

'Don't tell me you don't find him hot,' I said skeptically

'I do, but I'm not willing to sell my soul for him,' she said haughtily.

I really liked her.

During lunch, the cheerleaders invited me to sit with them. I guess they had all witnessed what had happened in the morning or at least heard of it. I declined and sat with Lucy who introduced me to her friends. They were all nice but stupid too. Every single one of them, except Lucy, thought I was the stupid one for rejecting Jake. Honestly? Didn't they have eyes? Couldn't they see that while he was nice to look at, the only characteristic he had was that of a manwhore? I rolled my eyes and decided to ignore them whenever they spoke of Jake. Which was the entire lunch period.

After meeting the girls here and finding out how stupid most of them were, I really missed New York. I had transferred from New York to Los Angeles. I had expected rich bimbos but not so many of them.

All the kids had at least one designer item on them.

All of them stood out.

All had hair and faces which were professionally done.

All of them were skinny and gorgeous.

Me? I wasn't as rich as they were so I was dressed in simple jeans and t-shirt. My hair was in its loose waves and for makeup I just had mascara and lip gloss on. I really couldn't understand why Jake had singled me out this morning. Maybe because I was new? I honestly had no idea.

New York was completely different. I went to a normal school which had all kinds of students. We had playboys too but none of them gave me or my friends a second look. My friends were cool, intelligent and extremely fun. I really missed them. I couldn't even give my mom a hard time. She was going through a lot. We had moved to LA because my mom got a wonderful job here, much better than the one we had in New York. My dad, however, didn't want to move and so they had decided to separate. I knew my mom was extremely hurt.

My classes after lunch got over pretty quickly and I didn't run into Jake even once. Okay, so maybe it had something to do with the fact that everytime I spotted him from far I would turn in the opposite direction. Don't judge me; I just didn't want a repeat of that morning's episode.

The one thing I was very happy about was that as soon as we moved here my mom bought me a new car. It was red, hot and incredibly fast. It was a second hand sports car but I really didn't give a damn. All I cared about was that I could go anywhere and fast in my new baby. After school I hopped into my car and drove away from school as fast as I could. I wasn't taking any chances.

However, I guess the Gods were not very happy with me that day 'cause as soon as I pulled into the driveway of my new house, guess who was standing at the door holding a dish of pie?

How was it? I'm dying to know what you guys think! If you find any mistakes please point them out. Even if they're extremely silly. Also, I made a few changes in the story. I promise I'll update regularly now. However, a little motivation would make me update faster.

Until next time,
