my name is Justin, i'm sixteen and have black hair with blue eyes and this is my story. I walk down the empty hallway to see that my world had changed, it was in utter disaster. It all happened so fast that it's hard to describe what happened in what seemed like minutes. It was like a small flare that burst, blowing away all that laid in its path. My world had turned into a wasteland things had mutated, many had died, and some came back to life. What was once safe turned into the most dangerous. Schools once filled with children were now filled with hanging dead bodies that had been decapitated. People grabbed their guns or anything they could find and fought creatures that had decided to attack them. Others decided to try and rebuild society, no one wanted to be controlled by anyone so they were ignored. Many though relit the flame of religion and chanted the name of god saying this was our punishment for not keeping up faith. I think that's a load of bull crap no one is punishing us we did this to ourselves. I travel alone I watch my own back no god is going to decide what's the right path and what's not. I'll keep to my own beliefs you can keep yours I don't need something fake right now.
I kick the dirt that laid on my path to find answers to what I had to ask. My shotgun on my back with a backpack filled with dead animals, things I found scavenging, bullets, water, and a pistol. It was almost guaranteed to run into raiders in this world after all there was only one rule, kill or be killed. You needed to defend yourself and leave no survivors; you couldn't even look at a child the same way without suspecting they'd steal something. Always walking can get tiring after awhile so I stop at a bar or an inn every once in awhile, their was no drinking age so alcohol was almost a common necessity to everyone. At least there were towns so people could trade, their was a new respect for everyone, a respect for property no one stole unless it was for food or water. I guess once their was nothing of value we only need what we need to live.
