The future. The world was in the middle of a long, brutal war. The armies called it World war 3. Edgy called it a war time wonderland. He loved doing what he did, and he was the best at it. The reason being was because he was the last of his kind. Edgy was a red ninja, a scarce group that once flourished. Edgy is dressed in a red ninja suit with a black mask, which covered all but his eyes. His fellow other ninjas wore similar suits. But now, they were all killed off by the Repticoids, the opposing side of the war. Edgy belonged to the other side, which Edgy dubbed the good guys. Edgy was not officially in the army, though he had his own group that he traveled with. Edgy owns a large auto mobile that has its own fairly sized back where the soldiers can sit and sleep. Edgy's clan consisted of Johnny Norman, who was dressed in a green sleeveless top, and wore some type of mask covering his mouth. He also had pants and boots to match it. He is bald, and was child hood friend of Edgy. Another member was Pepito Artees. He was a Latino man with long black hair and goatee. He had a grey sleeveless top on, and wore cargo pants and boots. He was usually laid back, but can be easily be provoked. Another member was Daniel Levington. He had light brown shaved hair, and green clothes with an ammo strapped on to his shoulder. He was the youngest of the group, and has the least amount of experience. Edgy accepted him because he believes Daniel had potential.

Edgy was dozing in the passenger seat of his massive vehicle until someone woke him up.

"Edgy, sir! We're here!" yelled his driver. Edgy's driver did not have a name, for Edgy called him driver. He had white armor and a helmed, which it's shades covered his eyes. The driver was Edgy's closest friend, and on those long drives, Edgy would talk to the driver for hours.

"So I see." Edgy said sitting up. "And might I ask, what is for breakfast?"

"I have no idea, Edgy. Maybe Duke knows."

"Maybe. I'll go ask him." Edgy said opening the door and getting out. Edgy walked over to where Duke was. Duke was Edgy's friend, who was responsible for letting Edgy's clan fight alongside him. Edgy looked for Duke, but could not find him anywhere around his gattling gun jeep. Then, he saw her. Marion. She was the red headed beauty who Edgy fell in love with. She was Duke's girlfriend. When she first joined, all the other guys were all over her. Edgy would flirt with her, which caused him to get slapped or shouted at. After a while, he would treat her nicer, and soon became friend. Marion wore a Camouflage colored top, and pants of the same color. She noticed Edgy and walked up to him.

"Hi… Edgar."

Edgy paused a moment before he answered. He stared at those dark green eyes.

"Uh" He began to say. "You don't have to call me that, just Edgy."

"Okay Edgy. So what's up?" she asked.

"Uh, well I was wondering if Duke was here because uh, my men are hungry and want… breakfast?"

"Oh, well Duke is off on a recon mission. He got a report that there is a newly opened training camp up a ways near those mountains, and he went to see if the path is safe." She answered. Edgy frowned a little.

"I see." Edgy said about to turn around in the other direction. Before he could, Marion spoke up.

"Well, I could make breakfast." She mentioned. Edgy looked at her surprisingly.

"You can cook?" he asked.

"Uh, yeah!" she answered bopping him in the shoulder with her fist in a friendly manner.

"Alright then." Edgy said leading her back to his vehicle. Once she got there, she went inside the back and grabbed some ingredients. Then out of nothing it seemed she grabbed some wood, and started a fire. She then ran inside the car and grabbed a pan. Edgy watched in amazement as she whipped up a stack of pancakes.

"Oh shit." Edgy commented.

"Don't say I can't cook" she said. Edgy quickly called his men over and ate the breakfast.

"Thanks Marion." Edgy said to her as she began to walk back to her car.

"You're welcome, Edgy." She answered. Edgy turned back to his men.

"Alright, fellas. Any new reports?" he asked them. The men looked at each other, then back at Edgy.

"Uh well Edgy, we're getting reports that a new recruit is coming to our group." Johnny told him.

"Oh? And under whose orders, I might ask?"

"Well, Duke said we needed a girl in our group or else we would look… you know."

Edgy walked up to him.

"Okay so let me get this strait, Duke recruited a girl to be in our group, just so we wouldn't look gay?"

"Yes sir."

Edgy thought about this thoroughly. With a girl in his group, the guys wouldn't be able to talk about certain things in front of her. She might mess up the equipment, or try and take charge. Edgy Cringed when he thought about this.

"Fine! When is she getting here?" Edgy asked.

"When Duke gets back." Pepito answered.

"Well whoopdie diddly doo doo! When is Duke getting back?"

"Right now." Johnny said as Duke pulled up in his car. Duke was slightly taller than Edgy, with shaved blonde hair, and wearing a green vest with grenades in it. His shirt was brown camo, and brown pants and boots. Duke got out and so did the girl. She was a tad short for her age, and wore camo shirt and pants, and also wore boots. She also had long blonde hair. The girl walked up to Edgy.

"Hi. I'm Alexa. You must be Edgy. Duke told me a lot of things about you."

"Oh did he?" Edgy asked.

"Yes, he told me that you were the last of your kind. It is so amazing! You must be the best Ninja ever!" she said. This made Edgy's heart flutter a bit, but he was still not impressed.

"I'll let you two get acquainted." Duke said as he left to meet with Marion.

"Yeah." Edgy told Alexa. "I'm the last of the red Ninjas."

"You must get lonely." She said.

"Well, not as long as I have my men."Edgy said pointing to them. Alexa introduced herself to the men. After she was done talking to them, she went back to Edgy.

"So where do I sleep?" she asked. Edgy let out a chuckle.

"Sleep? Oh you thought you were going to sleep in a nice, comfy bed?"

"I was just wondering."

"Well, you will have to sleep in the back of my vehicle, where my men sleep. And you don't sleep in a bed, you sleep on either the padding on the seats, or in a sleeping bag on the floor."

"Oh. Well then where do you sleep?" she asked curiously.

"I sleep up in the front seat. There is a lot of room there."

"Ok." She said with a bit disappointment. Edgy felt like he was being a bit bitter.

"But if you want, you can sleep up front, just because you're new here."

"Alright." She smiled. Edgy led her to the front, where the driver was sleeping.

"Driver! Wake up now!"

"Wah! Uh, sir! I wasn't sleeping! I was just daydreaming!"

"Oh yeah right! Dreaming about those beaches again?"

"No! I wasn't asleep!"

"Whatever." Edgy said as Alexa giggled.

"Who's that?" the Driver asked.

"This is Alexa. She is our new recruit."

"I see."

"Don't ask. It was all Duke's idea."

"Listen Driver, Alexa is going to sleep up here tonight."

"She is? But then where will you sleep?" he asked. Edgy glared at the driver's seat.

"No. No, no, no. This is my spot!"

"I am aware of that. But I am not able to sleep in the back."

"And why not?"

"Because this whole area is my spot. I just let you sleep here."

"Alright fine." The Driver said as he gathered his things and went in the back. Edgy went to go talk to Duke about this new camp. Once he got there, he noticed Alexa next to him.

"Alexa? Did you follow me here?"

"Well, I guess I don't really know anyone here, so I thought I would feel safe with you."

"Alright." Edgy said as Duke walked up to him.

"Sup Edgy?"

"I need to talk to you about this camp that you visited."

"Well, what about it?"

"Is it safe?"

"Well, is the path safe?"

"And who runs this camp?"

"I don't know, but his name is Victor."

"Okay. I suggest it will be safe to visit tomorrow?"

"I suppose."

Night came quickly. So did the lights on the watch towers. Roaming death squads were on patrol. Edgy was setting himself in the driver's seat while Alexa was doing the same.

"Hey Edgy?" she asked.

"Why did you join the war?"

"There is nowhere to really settle and live. I decided to be in the war, but not as a soldier."

"Because I believe it really doesn't matter. It's like I would have to give up my culture."

"I see." She said stretching her legs. She bumped them into a hatch, where a box fell down.

"No! Don't touch those!" Edgy yelled as she already opened the box.

"Are these action figures?" she asked.

"Yeah." Edgy answered embarrassingly.

"You play with these?" she asked while looking at one of them.

"Well… sometimes, but you can't tell anyone that I do."

"I promise."

Just then Alarms went off.

"Repticoids in the distance! Battle stations!" A man yelled.
