It's magick. In fantasy, that's an explanation for everything. Logic? What logic? Who needs it? I'm sorry to tell you all, but no world functions without some form of logic. You can't just use magick as an explanation for everything - you need to explain magick. You need rules for how magick works, and explanations, otherwise everything will just go completely off the rails. So, before you go putting random magickal... stuff... into a story, sit down and think about the logic in it, and how it's going to work. After all, if you can't figure out how something happened, how will the readers? And yes, it will bother people and ruin the story if everything just gets put down to 'it's magick'.
So, please people, show a little love for the laws of physics. Thank you.
