A/N: I decided this is about the right time to post this one shot; it's about christmas time, after all. I originally wrote this for a christmas contest last year, but yeah.. it never got judged o.o.

I would've titled this "All I Want For Christmas is..." but that was the name of the contest. :P So I had to go with this.

"The Best Gift For Christmas"

"Oh Arrianna, don't let yourself down. He promised he'd be back, and you know he never breaks his promises to you because he loves you too much; he'd do anything for you." Rose (my best friend) and I were sitting around my living room drinking hot chocolate. If you looked outside you'd see snow falling, and a Christmas tree decorated with all sorts of ornaments. Normally I'd be in the spirit of celebrating the holiday since it was my favorite one, but not having who I most wanted here with me was a bit of a damper.

"I know Rose, but what if he gets held up? What if he can't make it?" I couldn't help but glance out the window just imagining that Jack would magically be walking up my driveway with a huge grin on his face; his adorable dimples showing, and his eyes filled with there blue that I loved so much.

He'd had to leave just a few weeks ago (he wouldn't tell me why), but had said he'd take a while. According to him he'd be back for Christmas, but it was Christmas Eve and he still hadn't shown.

I think Rose had noticed that even with all the Christmas feelings going around I still wasn't happy. She'd tried to take me Christmas-shopping, had made me help pick out the tree, and other holiday chores. Even with all of this on my mind though, I still couldn't banish Jack from my thoughts.

The most give-away that I was out of it though, was my non-existent mood for presents. A normal 15-year-old girl would be begging her parents for a new cell phone, or at least an MP3, but the only present I could hope for was Jack.

I guess I'm sounding a little to in love for my age, but he meant everything to me, and I took him a lot more seriously then most relation-ships were taken these days. Was that a mistake on my part?

"Arry did you hear me?" I looked up from the ground where I'd been staring for the last….who knows how long. Rose was staring at me with annoyance, but also the look of a worried friend.

"He'll make it, even if it's just for you; he'll make it." She tried to smile, but the look of concern never left her eyes.

"Thanks Rose, I know; I'm just worrying about nothing. It's getting late, why don't we go to bed?" I asked her; trying to change the subject.

"Aww come on, aren't you going to stay up until mid-night like most people?" she asked jokingly.

Truthfully, staying up until Christmas (which was traditional for my family) had totally slipped my mind. I guess I'd have to, just for my family's and Rose's sake at least.

"10… 9… 8… 7… 6…" My family and I were counting down the seconds to Christmas. Everyone seemed happy, and I tried to join in in the happiness, but my thoughts just kept wondering away from me.

"5… 4… 3…--" Ding!

The dorr bell rang loudly; breaking us off mid-count.

"I'll go get it?" I asked carefully.

"Of course honey—" my mother started to say something, but was cut off by my little brother starting up the count down again.

I walked away from the happy festivities; getting the dorr-bell was my excuse from getting away. I almost just went up to my room, but the bell rang again; ruining that plan.

I walked over to the door, and just opened it.

"Hello? How may I help you?" I know it was a rude way to grett someone (I guess), but I just didn't feel in the mood to care how people got their feelings hurt.

"Arry, I think you know how." I heard amusement and laughter in the voice in front of me. I looked up….and gasped.

In front of me was a handsome man; blonde hair looking damp from the falling snow outside. He was smiling this adorable grin; making his dimples show, and his blue eyes crinkle in this adorable way. In front of me….stood Jack.

"I—thought you wouldn't make it." I said staring at him incredulously.

"I almost didn't." he said "but for you Arry, I'd do anything."

I couldn't help but smile at that one. It was corny but cute at the same time, and it'd been exactly what Rose had said: 'he'd do anything for you.'

"You don't know how corny that sounded." I said; still smiling. He laughed and hugged me.

"I hope you don't mind, I couldn't get you a present since I was in such a rush." He said looking regretful.

"don't worry, I already got what I wanted." I said as I hugged him tighter.

"What would that be?" he asked me.

"All I wanted for Christmas….was you." I said as I leaned forward….and kissed him.

A/N: Review, please. (puppy-dog eyes)

Oh, and my friend pointed out that Arry's friend's name is Rose, and her boyfriend's name is Jack. I swear, Jack doesn't cheat on Arry with Rose, okay? :D

(I didn't notice the Titanic thing until that friend pointed it out).
