To Her
I've told you I love you,
I say this several times a day.
But I really must wonder,
Do you really believe or understand it?
If I don't love you then why do I say this time and time again,
attempt to catch you when you fall?
Once more I shall tell you I love you.
I love you like the birds love the skies,
the fish love the sea.
Like a person loves coming home to a warm fire waiting in the gates,
like a river joining with the sea.
If you can't see that I truly love you,
Then I must not be doing a very good job.
It is true every word I say,
then, now, and forever hear me true.
To her who reads this,
I love you.
