First you set the scene,
And put the actors in their places,
Much more simple than it seems,
To draw the curtain, start the play,
But to keep it going
Is another matter,
To keep the story flowing,
The actors from throwing down their masks,
That the choir still play,
Until the curtain falls,
And then to find a way,
To end the play with grace,
It's easier to start the act,
The play, and enter stage right,
And keep the story in place of fact,
Than become the actor, and not character,
Is life but a play?
Are we but actors? Characters?
But it's easier to live this way,
Than exit stage, and let the curtain fall.
