I hate Monday mornings. If I could have any wish, I would wish for there to be no Mondays.
I was back in my room after brushing my teeth and hair, changing out of my clothes from the previous day. Oops, slept in my day clothes again.
I had just unbuttoned the top of my charcoal black skinnys when the most obnoxious knocking cut through my thoughts. If I hadn't known better, I would have thought a really, really pissed off cop was here to arrest me.
"Come in!" I yelled harshly, re-buttoning my jeans swiftly, irritation obvious in my voice. Gees, this is just what I need first thing in the morning.
"If I'm giving you a ride to school, you need to hurry up!" he screamed, sounding even more irritated than I had.
"Fine. Whatever, just give me a minute," I replied, not wanting there to be conflict. To be frank, he scares me - a lot.
I rushed my makeup and pulled on a pair of dark black skinny jeans, my most flattering pair. I pulled over my head a BMTH band tee and, last but not least, a pair of Converse. I swung my bedroom door open, grabbed my backpack laying by the front door, and rushed into my step-brother's car.
I should probably introduce myself! My name is Honey. I'm fifteen, turning sixteen in about two months, and it's my first year of high school. My mom just got married to some guy she met online. Well, they actually met in high school, then met online after three years of not seeing each other.
I have three new brothers; the one who just yelled at me, Oliver, is the youngest. He's in the same grade as me, but he just turned sixteen, so he's older. Then there's Aaron and Alex - the twins. They're both seventeen and in a grade ahead of us.
When we finally got to school, I noticed Oliver putting a cigarette out. It made me angry. It reminded me of my mother's ex-boyfriend who always smoked next to me, not caring that I was only seven. I decided to let it go. It was none of my business what he did.
We got out of the car and headed towards the school entrance. I noticed a lot of people staring at us as we entered the school, their gazes staying on me. Some boy ran up to us and greeted Oliver with a handshake that turned into a hug. Bro hug.
Soon after, two girls who looked like best friends came up to Oliver like giggling retards. One seemed more outspoken while the other a bit shy. The shyer one was blushing, eying Oliver. The more outspoken one glanced at me briefly and asked Oliver who I was and why he would hang with someone who wore so much makeup. I'm standing right here. Gees.
I ignored it. I'm used to that kind of thing. I dress differently than everyone. If I got mad at everyone who didn't like it, I'd have few friends.
"Hey, Saara. This is Honey, my new sis!" Oliver shouted over the people around us in the halls, kissing the short blond who gave me a warm smile.
"She could use a tour of the school. Maybe one of the freaks over there can help you out!" said a tall jock who had dark brown eyes, pointing his thumb over his shoulder.
Nobody really said anything after that. Oliver's group of friends walked away from me, leaving me to find my way around the school by myself.
I finally looked over to where the rude jock had pointed, noticing Aaron and Alex, my other brothers. They dressed a bit similar to me, only they leaned more towards hardcore skater than scene or emo.
I walked over and asked them if they would show me the way to a few classes. Before I could start complaining about what just happened, a brunette with blond streaks in her beautiful dark-brown hair started talking.
"Aaron, is that the new sister you were telling me about? Alex was right! She's really pretty!" she said in awe.
"Hey! Don't say I said that!" Alex yelled in embarrassment, glaring at the brunette.
"Whatever! So you're Honey, right? I'm Ami, Aaron's girlfriend!" she said enthusiastically.
"Oh, uh, hi. Do you think you could show me around instead?" I asked, knowing my new brothers didn't want to.
"Wait, wait, wait! Why wasn't I told about the new girl?!" yelled an extremely attractive emo boy.
"Shut up, Jacob. It's still early in the morning. I don't wanna hear your mouth," said another cute, but skater, boy.
"Hey, Danny. Man, you're just mad 'cause I won another bet!" Jacob said with a smirk on his cute face.
"What bet?" Danny asked, clearly confused.
"The one we're about to make, 'cause I bet you won't be able to get with the new girl before me!" He replied, smirking again. At this, my eyes widened. Wow! I can't believe this is being said in front of me!
AND THAT IS WHEN ALL HELL BROKE LOOSE!
A/N: I uploaded this chapter for my sister, and let me tell you, I had a bitch of a time doing it. I know I probably made a crazy amount of mistakes, but it's somewhat of an improvement, right?
