I'll tell you tomorrow

When I'm alone it's easy,

To know what I feel,

To say I'll act on it and that it'll be fine.

But when I'm in person,

It all gets harder.

To say what I mean,

To show what I feel.

And so I lay back once more,

Taking a rest from the world.

The world of pain and sorrow,

The world of joy and happiness.

The world where you live,

The world where I dwell.

And I just lie there,

Away from it all.

Telling myself that tomorrow's the day,

I'll let my feelings show.

The day I cast off my mask,

And try once again.

When I'm at school I'm different,

Then when I'm alone,

But I find it the same to tell myself how I feel.

But when I'm in person,

It all gets harder.

To say what I mean,

To show what I feel.

And so I lay back once more,

Taking a rest from the world.

The world of pain and sorrow,

The world of joy and happiness.

The world where you live,

The world where I dwell.

And I just lie there,

Away from it all.

Telling myself that tomorrow's the day,

I'll let my feelings show.

The day I cast off my mask,

And try once again.

I find my comfort when I'm alone,

To say the things I cannot say.

To imagine myself in the place I want to be.

And when I see you, I still know what I feel.

It's only impossible to express it,

in a way comprehensible to you.

But when I'm in person,

It all gets harder.

To say what I mean,

To show what I feel.

And so I lay back once more,

Taking a rest from the world.

The world of pain and sorrow,

The world of joy and happiness.

The world where you live,

The world where I dwell.

And I just lie there,

Away from it all.

Telling myself that tomorrow's the day,

I'll let my feelings show.

The day I cast off my mask,

And try once again.

But I keep telling myself tomorrow,

And tomorrow never comes.
