Firefly.
A pale full moon
In a deep blue sky
It's still cold
But we're only human.
Smoky breath
Trails behind me in clouds
Tripping over the shadows
Getting lost in my misty haze.
Reflections of orange lights
Flash in windows
And glassy eyes
Your glitter starred glare
Is killing me
When there's nothing more to say.
Paralysed in the ocean
Drowning from a salty fever
I'm kicking stones out of my heart
Because it can't take anymore
Of your winter star irony.
You're a firefly
But I'm frozen.
