As soon as she woke up, Alisa hurriedly changed her clothes and got herself cleaned up. After she finished, she turned on her phone and dialed Liz's number. After several rings, Liz picked up. "Alisa! How are you doing? Is the room okay? Are you going out with that guy yet?" Alisa sighed.
"I'm doing fine, and the room's fine," she answered, avoiding the last question, hoping that Liz wouldn't notice.
"And what about the guy?" Alisa groaned.
"Liz, stop asking me about it. I'm never going to go out with him." Liz sighed.
"Fine. Why are you calling me?" Alisa hesitated.
"I need…a dress." There was a snicker from the phone.
"And you say that you don't want to go out-" Alisa quickly cut in.
"It's for a party that Ethan's uncle is hosting here. Apparently, I have to attend." There was a long silence from the phone. "…Liz? Are you there?"
"Yeah…" She sounded slightly disappointed. "When do you want to get the clothes?'
"Clothes? I only need a dress though…" Alisa muttered.
"Too bad, I told you that I would get you clothes. In general, not just a dress. Now as for the time, when are you free?"
"Umm…I'm not doing anything today, since it's a Saturday. We'll be working later, but up until around afternoon, I don't have anything to do."
"Great!" Alisa winced as Liz yelled. "We'll go today then! Now I have to call Jay, and Celeste. They'll both want to come. Michael might want to come because of Celeste though…" She trailed off, muttering to herself.
"Okay…I'll meet you at the restaurant in around 10 minutes." Liz was still busy muttering to herself.
"…Sure." Liz was clearly busy planning. Alisa hung up and quickly straightened her clothes. She grabbed some of the stuff she needed and stuck it in her pockets. She ran out the door, crashing into something hard and knocking it down.
"Oww…." Alisa rubbed at the spot where her head hit the ground. She then noticed a person lying next to her. "Are you okay?!" As soon as she asked that that, she realized who it was. He groaned and sat up.
"Yeah…although, no thanks to you." Alisa glared at him.
"Ethan, how could I possibly expect someone standing right outside my room?" He blinked.
"I was right about to knock." She sighed.
"Anyways, why are you here?" Ethan looked confused.
"What?"
"Weren't you standing in front of the door to my room for a reason?" She could have sworn veins were popping out of her head.
"Ah, right. Breakfast is ready." He edged away from her, apparently realizing her anger.
"Wouldn't you usually send a maid to tell me?" He shifted, uncomfortable.
"…Well, uncle told me to come and tell you." Alisa rolled her eyes.
"Of course. You can't even ask someone if they want to go to breakfast without being forced to." She got up off the floor and started quickly walking away.
"Hey! Where are you going?" Ethan scrambled to his feet and ran after her.
"Liz is taking me shopping for clothes." Soon, Ethan was walking next to her.
"Shopping?" He stared at her incredulously. "You don't seem like the type of person that would go shopping."
"I normally don't. But since I have to wear a dress, Liz is taking the opportunity to get me a whole new wardrobe." Alisa sighed. "Besides," she muttered, glaring daggers in his direction, "I'll have to shop for clothes someday. I can't just go around wearing the same clothes for the rest of my life." Ethan blinked, apparently startled by all she said.
"Are you going to eat breakfast?" he asked.
"That would be nice, but I have to go meet Liz at the restaurant soon. In fact, I'm taking a really long time getting out of the house." She picked up her pace.
"Why can't you just ask her to wait?" Ethan ran to keep up with her.
"…Well, other people are going to be there too."
"But they've probably already eaten breakfast; I'm sure they'll understand. If they're your friends, I'm sure they wouldn't want you to skip breakfast for them and go hungry the rest of the time. Besides, from how it sounds, you'll be shopping the entire time. No rest at all."
Alisa immediately stopped and stared at him. She was entirely shocked that he had managed to say something thoughtful. Not to mention that it actually made sense.
"Umm…I guess I'll call them to wait then." She lethargically opened her phone and called Liz while Ethan watched her intently. After a couple minutes and a lot of yelling on Alisa's part, she finally shut the phone.
"So?" Alisa sighed.
"I can stay." She didn't look too pleased at the idea.
"Great. Let's go." He took her arm and started tugging her toward the dining room. She stared at him, confused. What is he doing, trying to flirt with me? She shook her head. Probably just trying to mess with my head. Ethan suddenly stopped, Alisa nearly crashing into him.
"What?" Ethan grinned at her.
"We're here. Time to eat." They were in fancy looking room with a large banquet-like table in the middle covered in food. "Take anything you want." Alisa froze, stunned.
"…Alright. Thanks." A maid handed her a plate and she nervously took a tiny bit of food.
"You can't possibly live on that." Ethan was next to her, heaping large amounts of food on his plate.
"Umm…I think I'll be okay." She turned to leave. He grabbed her hand, preventing her from going any farther.
"What is it?" Alisa stopped and looked back at him, trying to ignore how odd the situation would look.
"Just take some with you." He handed her a bag with a couple sandwiches in it.
"…Thanks." She practically ran out the door, trying to ignore the fact that Ethan had just acted polite. Nice, even. What happened?
Alisa was so busy running, she didn't notice someone was in front of her until she crashed into him.
"Oww…sorry."
"No problem!" A blue haired guy helped her up. "Now, let's get you to Liz, shall we?"
"Thanks, Jay." He guided her over to a table where three others were sitting. One of them immediately hugged Alisa.
"You took so long! I was beginning to worry you weren't going to come!" Liz grinned evilly. "Now I can get you the kind of clothes you should dress in! You'll look adorable!" Alisa nervously nodded.
Perhaps this wasn't such a good idea…
