Today at school
I walk in the class and what do I find?
Thirty-odd teens each working their mind.
The teacher is teaching the golden rule,
A typical thing to see at school.
But something is here at first you might miss.
You must pay attention to catch all of this:
Some girls in the back that gossip and smile,
A couple in front who broke up for a while,
Three boys in a corner texting on phones,
As the teacher drones on in dull monotones,
The few high achievers who are paying attention,
And the one delinquent who almost lives in detention.
