Take the Time to Wonder
They worry over everything,
what to war, what songs to sing.
I watch as they fet and fear,
they hear the things they want to hear.
All their worries make no sence,
the slightest thing will make them tense.
Why does it matter, why do you care?
I think these questions as I stare.
Watching, waiting for the time,
looking for some scheme, some rhyme.
I find no purpose to the mess,
there is no purpose for the stress.
All the things for which they strive,
I wonder how we all survive.
We do so much yet nothing's done.
What have we earned? What have we won?
When will they stop, take time to pause?
look around and ask the cause?
Take the time to wonder...
