To A God Who Doesn't Care

Believe in me,
you ask of the people.
But how can we believe in you,
when we don't believe in ourselves?

Convinced as a child,
that everything is a sin.
Watching our backs,
for signs of your eyes.

I prayed for you,
to pray for me.
To save my soul,
from eternal madness.

When things really matter,
and I needed you then,
you never came,
and I gave up.

People are always crying to you.
When all you really are,
is a figment of their imaginations,
and you don't really care.
