Own Person
We are trapped,
In a world made by a nation,
That haunts our imagination,
That leads us without explanation,
And no one knows the problems,
That we need to figure out.
We are stuck,
In the mold of a citizen,
That reforms over and over again,
Until we don't know where WE begin.
Lost in a puzzle,
That's missing haft the pieces.
We can't find,
Where our battles end,
What kind of message to send,
Whose beliefs we should defend.
Not until we set ourselves,
To becoming our own person.
