Break up words (neurotic bitch)
Words are poems
in their own lonely
right; righteous riotous
things we speak quickly and
slowly; say the same thing
in a different volume and
pretend they're new again, like:

acts like an old woman

my tongue used to live
inside the mouth that
says such things; my mouth
used to break into an oval
in preparation for your name.

Now nameless (a game)
I will not say it; an old
superstition, I will give you no more power
than you deserve in a poem that
revolves around you.
