Alas! and am I too verbose?
And is my speech a mighty host
Of words, of which I rightly boast
Of being too verbose?

Oft times, my speech grandiloquent,
To hear, is quite somniloquent.
O! this is now my sad lament:
It's too grandiloquent.

Although I speak, it seems, in Greek,
Yet some to understand do seek.
Their curiosity I pique
By speaking pseudo-Greek.

Behold the man who uses words
No mortal ear has ever heard.
Verbosity is much preferred
To using simple words.
