The next thing Zabrina was aware of was that she was lying on a stony, uncomfortable surface. And that her head was hurting. She mumbled a curse as she opened her eyes, sitting up whilst rubbing her head.

"What time was it?" she murmured sleepily.

Looking around, she frowned as she noticed that she was on the first step of the spiralling staircase towards the girl's dormitory.

"You should hurry up."

Zabrina yelped as she fell off the step and looked up. Stood in the middle of the staircase, looking down at her was the young boy she had seen yesterday.

"It's past eight," he said slowly descending towards her "You wouldn't want to get a detention for being late."

"Who are you?" asked Zabrina as she rose up.

This question seemed to take him by surprise. He paused, hand on rail, staring at her questioningly, mouth slightly agape.

"You mean you can actually see me?" he asked.

Zabrina raised an eyebrow.

"Uh, yeah, you're not invisible if that's what you think."

The boy shook his head as he looked out of the window that allowed the soft rays of the sun in.

"It's just…"

"Zabrina!"

Zabrina snapped her head up slightly more to see Isabella coming down the stairs. She glanced back towards where the boy stood and blinked to see him gone.

"Zabrina, where were you last night?" demanded Isabella as she stood in the place where the boy was "You never returned to the room…did you fall asleep on the stairs?"

Zabrina shrugged as she pulled the elastic band out of her hair and ran her fingers through it.

"Detention took me ages to complete," she murmured as she started to lightly jog up the stairs "See you at breakfast."

"Don't take too long;" called Isabella "We're lucky we've got Miss Jones for duty this morning."

Finally! A nice teacher!
