I laugh at what a silly child I was,

So full of teenaged angst.

I say 'what was I thinking?'

When remembering the time I wanted to die.

All the adults,

That my friends have turned out to be,

Ask me if I'm okay.

I assure them that I'm fine,

That it's all gone away.

I laugh at what a silly child I was,

So full of teenaged angst,

But inside I'm still the same.
