CITRUS

Summary: There is something up with the new transfer student, something that just didn't seem right in Raye Ann's eyes. The girl was just too skittish, too perfect…abnormal. Something was up and she wanted nothing to do with her. Too bad she has no choice now. She's her roommate!

Sci-Fi/Romance/Fantasy/slight mythology

I'd worked my ass off to get into this school. Working day and night to pay for tuition, staying up late at night finishing projects that were due the next day. Damn right I worked hard for that scholarship and it soon paid off. I had earned my scholarship to Ridge University, the top engineering school in the country. Everything was going perfectly. I'd moved out of my house and into my dorm room, the classes were hard but I was still passing. I was getting closer to my dream job. Then she came along…

"Hi! I'm Stella, your new roommate."

Staring at the girl before me I couldn't help but frown. Umm…new roommate? There must have been a mistake. I hadn't been aware that I was getting one. Cautiously I held out my own hand and grasped it. She was rather pale.

"Hey….I'm Raye Ann", I murmured awkwardly.

Slowly I withdrew my hand, still highly confused. Why exactly was this girl in my dorm room again? Stella continued to smile shyly at me, obviously oblivious to the looks I was giving her. Who the hell was she!

Quickly Stella shifted to the side of the door allowing me enough room to shuffle through the doorway. I did so stiffly as I surveyed the dorm. It was pretty much the same as I had left it this morning with only a few of my pictures and personal items hanging upon the wall. The only difference was that on the far side of the room there was a bed with a few bags on top. I could already tell she was a very messy person.

Stella seemed to fidget nervously. The silence was obviously bugging her. She spoke softly, frantic as she pushed her glasses up her nose.

"I-I'm sorry about the mess. I was just so excited that I kind of…threw everything around."

She laughed softly, rubbing the back of her neck. Sheepish.

I merely stared at her and for the first time noticed that the girl was actually pretty cute…no cute wasn't the word-she was ….exotic .Apparently she was asian with black hair cut into a bob, pale skin, and a really voluptuous shape. Her boobs were as huge as her hips were wide. I imagined that if she wanted to she could rule the male world. No one could resist looks like that. I found it kind of odd that her looks certainly didn't match her personality. She was more like a lamb than a dominatrix. Then again I didn't know her that well…

I quickly shook my head.

"Ugh (what the hell!!)…um…yeah it fine," I said distractedly as I tried to think of a reason for this chick to be in my room. Of course the dorm was a double. It was meant for two people but it was the middle of the semester. Why would she suddenly show up at Ridge University? Transferring to most colleges in the middle of semester was unheard of. She must have had some major hook ups if she did.

An awkward silence enveloped the room nearly smothering the two of us. Stella fidgeted near the door while I sat on my bed. My gaze lingered on her a bit before I let out a tired sigh. The words of my mother echoed throughout my head. I let out an annoyed growl.

Be polite, Raye, and always be friendly. Yaw never know how life will turn out!

I could practically see her face already. Glaring and wagging her finger at me like I was a child. I quickly waved the image away, snorting and muttering all the while.

"Yeah. Yeah. Yesh. I got enough of your yammering at home."

Stella turned around from her side of the room. I hadn't noticed that she had moved. She gave me a questioning look.

"Did you say something?"

Blushing in embarrassment I coughed into my fist and shook my head.

" I said…um…uh….what's you major? (Yeah that's it)Mine is engineering".

I spoke proudly as I said it. A wide grin spreading across my face. My usual reaction when I spoke about my soon-to-be dream career. Stella looked at me confused for a second before smiling also. I guess she was wondering why my mood had taken such a one eighty. Her smile brightened.

"Wow. Really. That's my major too" the asian chirped as she clasped her hands in front of her causing her boobs to lift even more off her chest together revealing an extended amount of cleavage. My eyebrows shot into my hairline. Startled by my thoughts. Why the hell am I looking at her freaking boobs! I thought frantically before quickly recovering. Be cool Raye!

"Wow. Who would've thought?"

Stella smiled warmly quickly becoming comfortable. I could tell she was waiting for me to say something. I sputtered for more things to say. Damn I never was good with people.

"So…uh….where are you from," I asked unable to think of anything else, "I'm from a Rodrin Park…not that you've probably heard of it. It's a little town out in the middle of nowhere. We ain't got nothing there but flies ad horses."

I grinned sheepishly at me being a country gal. I'd lived on The Ranch all of my life until I moved across the state to attend here. Being away from home had scared me a lot at first but somehow over the months I had managed. Now I was proud to be an independent woman…so to speak.

Stella smiled widely looking excited as she rushed forward, jumping onto my bed. It jiggled from the added weight and caused me to raise a brow. What is she bipolar, I thought as she began to launch into her life story.

"Really? I've never been there….well actually I've never been much of anywhere besides the…uh…"

Stella's sentence had stopped as quickly as it started, dropping off into a hidden oblivion. She was no longer as cheery as she was before. Instead a dark cloud seemed to hangover her, blocking out all of her light. A small shiver ran up my spine. The look was murderous. What the heck was wrong with her?

"H-Hey…you okay," I asked gently, lightly touching my roommates arm. That small movement lifted the fog from her eyes. She looked at me. Her eyes wide. Immediately her finger went to her mouth.

"Oh…I'm sorry," she stuttered as she stared guiltily at the floor. I let out a sigh of relief. Well at least she didn't try to kill me, I chuckled dryly. Quickly I shook my head and tried to smile. It came out rather weak.

"No need to apologize," I amended to try and smooth over the situation, "its all peaches and cream."

Home obviously wasn't her favorite subject and I'd learned earlier on that every one didn't have as great of a home life as I did. Stella smiled at me gratefully as she sat back on her haunches. Her already miniskirt climbed even higher along her thick creamy thighs. She lowered her eyes.

"Thank you….for understanding."

Before I could say anything, she had gotten up and had exited out the room.

I stared after her with my mouth wide open.

"…Damn I need to call Stephanie," was my only thought before I swiftly pulled out my phone to call her.

A/N: Hope you guys enjoyed this little bit. Also does anyone think I should change the title? Tell me what ya'll think?
