If I could fill a thousand days

With ten thousand summer nights,

Then maybe life wouldn't be half bad

For all the summer sights

For when the flowers go to sleep

And fireflies come out

The dancers move to fill the streets

And you can hear them shout

Stars are bright on beaches

And oceans remain deep

Moons and clouds don't stray too far

And I won't fall asleep

Through my thousand weary days,

And ten thousand summer nights

The world could circle on and on

And I could reach new heights
