you were the flash of tongue in a
stranger's bathroom where
we shed our skin and dug in
to each other's unmentionables,
teasing out truth and stories and
how old we really were. you had
my favorite in your fist, the second
jack i fell in love with. i watched you puke him up,
held your curls back, licked your spine
and sucked the sick from your gums. we
were vicious in the living room, all teeth,
gnashing like animals, blind to the rest. we
were confused in the end, eyes rolled back
to see what our brains were trying
to accomplish. we found sloppy fingers
and slouching shoulders for support, winking
empty promises of a hot shower
and a shared cigarette.

crappy, but something needed to be said before it ate my brain up
