Daughter of Glass

By: Peyton Banks

Dashed against brick walls

Kissed back together

A Daughter of glass

Broken even in sunny weather

Fragility slept in her bones

Steel in her surroundings

No one felt pity for her whines and moans

Yet she continued whining

The little miseries of life

Wore down her soul

Simplest strife

Was too much for blood

Scars and needles stick out of skin

The daughter of Glass

Begins to wear thin

Shatters tear the whole world over

When her sorrows accumulate too much

Her simple fix is the razor blades' touch
