Hi everyone, this is my first fiction on this site. I have my own fanfic account, with the same username...so check me out sometime XD

Erm, this plot has some resemblance to a manga that I read a long time ago. It's based on a pic I have in my head, which I created my own plotline...

Unrealistic , yet a good turn-out. :)

PLEASE REVIEW~

The first time I laid my eyes on him, I knew one thing...that I had fallen in love with him . His eyes were not sullen like mine, but filled with mellow and sunshine .He sold his items on the back of his bike, yelling and winking at ladies on the street. Only his smile enlightened my mood, and the young man often caught a shadow looking at him. I'm sure he'd moved recently, the maids whispered that he was an orphan that managed to salvage a family business. But, I found that even more inspiring about his jolly self.

The clock ticked , and my eyes still trailed the shadows and dust that he left behind. The day soon concluded into a cold winter night, which released the wind to whistle its way through the street. I shut my eyes, allowing reality to fill my chest.

I was a foul creature, trapped in a cage that moulded around my life .Last year, I was declared an orphan that just turned sixteen , a few years of until adulthood. There was an intense yearning to breathe the spring air, and be mesmerised by a few sakura petals landing on my lips. All this, with the hope I'm with the presence of my love. He was so close yet so far, a moments so close to my touch but forbidden to cross. There were times when I often found myself thinking about his where abouts, his thoughts and most of all his smile only directed at me. My only hope was one day, he would free my heart and allow my soul to rest. Perhaps when he sees me, he'll run the opposite direction .There wasn't a sense of beauty in me, more alien with the fair blonde hair and pale complexion. I sighed, leaning my head against the warm windowpane. The room seemed as enclosing as ever, strangling my breath as I stood up. Unpleasant foot steps thundered down the corridor, which I hoped would past my room. My stomach lurched when the door hinged open, to reveal the master with a hunched middle aged man . The rich minister, who I assumed late 30's groped through my clothes with his half-lidded eyes.

" And...this is Sakurai Daisuke. A half-caste japanese, of the highest quality."

The man grinned, revealing a few teeth chipped. " Beautiful specimen." He stepped closer, filling the small room with a stench of his alcohol and cigarettes. I blinked, burying every temptation to smash a lamp onto his rounded head.

Instead I squared my shoulders, and looked to the side as taught so.

" Is he untouched?", the man coughed under bushed eyebrows.

My master nodded, his eyes raking over my unkempt posture and sullen eyes. They shut the door, probably discussing even more absurd prices to sell.

That's right, I was to be sold next month due to a debt owed by my parents. They borrowed money off the master, and they eventually traced it back to me. My head hung loose as I cried, sobbed as loud as I could. A future so despairing, so sad that even my younger self would never have expected.

I refused to hate my parents, fully aware that we were never rich but lived within our means. I cursed and banged my fist against the table, allowing my kimono to slightly hang off my shoulders. No one befriended me, nor bothered to look at me. I was alone, alone with the thoughts of a happy life with my love. The only sound that cheered me up, was the sound he made when he passed my window. I smiled, wiping away the salty tears that stained my cheeks. A fly buzzed near my ears, daring me to be swatted away. A soft smile played on my lips.

It was decided, tomorrow I would see him.

...

My heart thudded as I slipped out, they had caught me trying to escape twice and locked me up in an even smaller room . A maid left the back door ajar, a lucky escape into haven. If anyone asked, I would daze my features and pretend that I was lost. Tip-toeing and then running on the hard surfaces, allowed a new found feeling in me. The feeling of justice and most importantly enjoying freedom gushing with adrenalin. By late morning, I had to come back for the festival. Nevertheless I ran out the door, desperately searching a way onto the streets without being seen. It felt just amazing, once the sunlight cleansed and soothed my tired limbs. After days of being trapped in one room, haven was just the sun rays filtering me. Once I found a quick detour through the bush, I ended up into my destination with ease. People who walked past spared a glance at my humming with the birds and obsessive fixing my sandals at a comfortable angle.

" Hello there. Are you new 'round here?"

I gasped at the male voice, hugging my body tight . I hoped that my love wouldn't notice my heart thudding under the thin layers of clothes," I thought you'd be on the bike today."

His eyebrow raised in puzzlement, "Really?"

Again I blushed, fiddling the hem of my kimono before attempting to retaliate with something cunning." Well, that's because I-I see you all the time."

" All the time? So that means you're not new", he joked with glittering eyes.

"Well...sometimes . You always seem to be so happy, and it often cheers me up .", I admitted through an embarrassed expression, careful as to avoid his question .

My love laughed cheerily, " You're strange, but I like that. The name's Kyoya Rin." , he held out his firm hand and I reluctantly shook it. His hand seemed so warm, and I closed my eyes for a moment just to relish the security.

" M-My name's Daisuke.", I mumbled under thick eyelashes.

" I'd offer you a proper tour for a foreigner, but my bike crashed into a tree yesterday. I swear I saw someone watching me from a window, so I missed my turning...by a mile"

I couldn't help but smile at his sheepish expression . " That's alright, Kyoya-san. I'm here for awhile, then..." , a pang of hurt tugged on my chest ." I leave ."

Rin blinked , noticing the sudden flash of pain before whistling and adjusting his pack on his chiselled shoulders." Oh I see, but you know...I swear we've met before."

" No, no we haven't. I'm new, remember?", I assured him with a plastered smile. Deep within his eyes, I saw how genuine his concern was. But if Rin knew where my future, he would sprint in the other direction. I squeezed my eyes shut, before blinking away any remnants of tears.

" Well you're welcome to tag along, I have to walk along that road before turning left towards the st-."

I suddenly felt squeamish of an image standing next to him, while master glared at me under his stern features. Master's stick would fly to my face, staining my skin with a deep shade of pink.

" I apologise, but I have to go now.", my body swivelled to leave before his hand grabbed my arm. It was such a loving hold, yet a composed reaction.

" Wait. You haven't told me where you're from.", Rin widened his hazel orbs.

" You wouldn't want to know," my lips tugged into a sad smile, before swiftly making my exit into the trees.

" At least, tell me when we'll see each other again."

I hung my head loose before muttering with a smile," I'll be busy with the festival, so perhaps noon."

Rin stared at my darting eyes in concern, before hesitantly turning the other way.

...

Of course, Rin wouldn't ignore such a fated meeting. The young seller couldn't help but wish that the hours of the day would pass even quicker, so that he could gaze upon that man. He consulted his old grandma, the last living relative left, before hurrying to some maids. His grandma chuckled, rubbing her wrinkled hands against his cheeks.

" You must find him. After all, it's too much of a coincidence that you both met."

" Thanks grandma", he grinned when his grandmother sent him a stern look before continuing "- I mean sister. I keep on forgetting that you're too young to be my grandma."

Grandma Yuki laughed cheerily," Definitely."

A laugh shared through generations.

Whenever he asked the maids of a new foreigner, they would shake their heads before hustling him out. Rin almost yelled in frustration when he came across a bunch of young ladies gossiping over some sakura tea.

" Well hello there ladies, may I ask you a question?", he grinned as widely and handsomely as possible. The ladies scrunched their faces in blushed laughter, before answering in small talk.

" You see, I'm looking for a foreigner around here. Fair skin, fair blonde hair yet brown eyes."

The ladies exchanged long stares before concluding their gaze onto his chiselled arms, then rested onto Rin's mischievous smile. "Oh the ghost-man. There is one, at the brothel. He is said to be forced there, so no one ever seen him."

Rin hid a gasp, before calming down and leaning his face towards another prettier lady. " What's he doing there?"

This one blushed a brighter red beneath the white make-up and giggled like a hyena, " Well if you must know, my father said that the foreigner's parents sold him there to pay off a debt. There are always rich ministers passing through the town, and foreign virgins are even more of a hefty price!"

The young man shook his head, rubbing his temples as to soothe the discomfort of a migraine.

" Dammit."

The young ladies could only widen their eyes, when he kissed their hands goodbye.

Meanwhile, my escape seemed futile. The festivities had already gone underway and I scrounged through the bush for any sort of hint of an entrance on the way back. No, nothing. I panicked, holding my head in my hands counting up fives before looking again. Bushes soon developed into shapes of a man, and my neck hurt from snapping my head back at the snap of a branch. A few ladies in applied make up ran as soon as I stepped out, barely missing my tousled appearance out of the bush. I heard master's voice, and immediately dropped on the floor.

" Wake up you lazy shit.", my master bellowed. He roughly kicked my shoulders, before hitting me with a branch on the forehead.

"Hmm ,oh master. "

He shook his head disapprovingly, demanding me to freshen up before the festivities. I clung to the leaf litter in despair, stealing a glance into the bush with a saddened smile .

" Rin...Kyoya Rin", I mouthed out loud.

With that, I scrambled after master.

...

The festivities were celebrated in a parade of geishas that performed fan dances, and fluttered their eyelashes at young men in the crowd. I followed with a blank expression after Uncle, hiding from anyone that even looked like Rin. The joyous laughter, and jeering never seemed appealing to me. Once master was conversing with some rich ministers, I leaned against an old food stall tiredly. My legs were pounding, due to the weak sandals that I was forced too wear. If only I saw Rin, he would make this celebration even better.

My hands leaned against a table, accidentally brushing against a warm red-bean bun. I looked around, and spotted Rin winking at me. He motioned for me to grab it, and laughed alongside an elderly woman. I bowed, embarrassed that the old lady saw how love struck I was. In an instant, Rin strode up to me and smuggled me another one. This time, I whiffed the pork bun in more delight.

" Yummy, isn't it?", Rin winked through the dust. When he smiled, my heart raced and thudded against my ears. Blood gushed to my cheeks, and I nibbled the tip of it in delight.

" Oh yes, definitely.",I managed to speak before stuffing myself with the buns. The rich buttery taste smoothed my stomach, which was later followed by the sweet delight of red beans. Rin tugged a strand of lonesome hair behind my ear, ogling at my features and pleased grin . We both blushed simultaneously, surprised at his brave actions.

" Was that your uncle?"

" Yes.", I paused licking off the last few crumbs of the buns on my fingers. Rin concluded his gaze onto my lips, before scratching his head with a soft sigh.

"We should meet up. Ne I- I better go…" he stuttered before the crowd swallowed him up.

"Wait, Kyoya-san!"

He didn't hear me.
