Second chappie for you lot... review pls!
That night, I couldn't sleep. The night seemed so cold, now that winter lurked nearby. I longed to see the sakura petals float past my window, and chasing after it with Rin. His laugh was so beautiful, I promised myself that I only wanted him to smile. If there was anything I would to ease his worries, then I will pledge my life to do so. The maids refused to look at me, and never looked down. I longed to meet him again, tomorrow at noon and smile.
This is love, something I had never experienced. It felt so free, so wonderful.
" Daisuke, snap out of it!", My uncle slapped me across the face. I flinched and blinked away tears, sliding my eyes away from Rin's image onto his ugly face. Master had grown older, something I wished closer to death. His black orbs oozing with a pitof hatred, and no warmth what so ever.
" I apologise master, how may I be off service?"
He scratched his neck, an irritating habit that I felt like slapping him sometimes.
" You're to stay in your room, there are more clients viewing you on the final festival day."
" U-uncle, please!...if they touch me", I repulsed at any thought of someone other than Rin touching me.
" They won't, remember you're to be untouched before you're sold. After that, I have no interest in what happens to you."
My heart heaved with exhaustion, crying at the thought dismissing the image of Rin tomorrow. Once the clients flooded in, they would expect me to stay in for a few days, maybe even weeks. I waited until another maid came in, before grabbing her hand and shoving her against the wall.
" Please, I need your help.", I whispered rashly.
Her widened eyes brimmed with fear , before seeing my scared expression and relaxing.
" I'm sorry I'm not meant to talk to you. But, judging by your eyes ...you do need me.", the brunette smiled softly. I realised how pretty and determined she was, under those thick rimmed glasses.
" Y-you see I need you to deliver this to someone. Do you know anyone by the name of Kyoya Rin?"
She nodded hesitantly, looking behind her shoulders as if Master would shout "boo!" at any moment. " Yes, he came to the kitchens looking for someone that fitted your description."
When she saw my stricken expression, , the maid patted my hand is assurance." But don't worry, we didn't tell anyone."
" Please send this to him. Don't tell him where, and please don't let master find it!", after a few minutes of scribbling I came up with this:
To Kyoya-san,
Thank you for your bun, it was delicious. I can only meet you at dawn by the hidden bushes. I hope to see you there. Please do not reply.
- S. Daisuke
She folded up the paper, and disappeared into the corridors.
Could I trust her?
Well I certainly hope so.
...
Rin received the letter only a few days later, and read it with an aghast expression. He quickly scrambled for some paper and some ink, scribbling down a reply to hand to the gopher. Grandma slipped her some coins, thanking her for delivering the letter.
You shouldn't send something like that, and expect me not to answer. It leaves me in frustration.I want to know everything about you, from those sad eyes to your troubled , its not strange to think about me. But is it strange for me to think about you? I only met you so soon, yet I feel somewhat strange.I'd rather to talk about it face-to face. The maid refuses to tell me where it comes from, and seems hesitant even looking at me- a mystery I'd like to solve.I'll see you there.
-Rin
Soon after the letter soon followed, with the poor maid ushering around. Lilly seemed aware of something between us, and refused any gifts from me. She only insisted that I tell her everything that's occurring, and soon after we grew close. She was a sister I never had. At the light of dawn, I quickly tip-toed towards the garden. It was a journey itself to the door, as I expertly unlocked it with the help of lilly's hair pin. Slowly, my feet struggled to keep warm against the slight icy feel of the grass. That's when I saw him, dozing off on some rock. His head lay against it, emitting the loudest snore he could muster.
" Took you long enough.", Rin grinned. I nearly tripped across some twigs, shocked that he woke up so easily.
" Yes, well...I'm sorry", I apologised quietly. We both exchanged smiles, sharing the rock between us.
" Hey Daisuke, I know about you. But, I don't feel disgusted at all..."
I froze, inhaling some fresh air to ease any apprehension that locked up in my chest.
" I want to know the full story, but you can tell me in your own time, when you feel comfortable with it. "
My head hung loose, almost bowing to the ancient sakura tree which now lay bare. " My parents...its a debt towards my uncle. That's the only reason why I remain in that place! I hate it, old men looking at me as if...", I paused for a quick sob of breath." As if their eyes rape me too."
Rin looked shocked, and almost angry at how pathetic my words seemed. He touched my lips, tracing his finger against my lips. Slowly, he leaned in every so slightly. I blinked, too scared to move but eager for him to hurry. But he didn't , Rin sighed and tilted his head to the bushes.
" Now, I definitely have to save you."
" Why?"
" Because, because...I ...I've developed feelings for you.", Rin brushed his hand against my arm. His eyes seemed to fill with determination, a youthful soul that erupted with a cold sense of lava.
"Oh...", I blushed leaning my head against his shoulders. " I'm so happy right now."
Rin squirmed," So you're not disgusted?"
A hearty laugh escaped my lips, a rare but comforting feeling. " No, no I'm not. In fact, it took you long enough. "
He paused, leaning in for a kiss. When our lips first met, it was inexperienced yet so tender. But by the end of it, we would gaze at each other's eyes unaware of the universe that surrounded us.
" I'll save you."
" You just did..."
We walked hand in hand, until we departed in our own ways.
My thoughts wandered off, even losing myself in the abyss of leaves and litter that led to the garden. There was a moment when the air I licked, seemed like flavoured ice-cream. It wasn't sweet or sour, but the feeling I had was just as amazing.
" Have you had fun enough, Daisuke?"
I swivelled my body so fast towards the noise, almost banging my forehead against a low hanging branch. The birds twittered in fear, restless at the intensity of the tension that laid in their pristine bush.
" …Uncle?"
" So this is how you thank me, frolicking the streets with a man. " His hands loomed closer until he slapped me hard across the cheek. It sent me flying against a tree, and stars encircled my vision. A few droplets of angry tears rolled down my cheeks, as I drew blood from biting my lip.
" I love him.", I declared with an odd stumble.
My uncle's eyes flashed with a strange sense of anger, before glaring at me once again.
" Love is not entitled for your body. Remember that…"
" That is not for you to decide, uncle." , I spat a few trickles of blood.
Master lifted his eyebrows in surprise, before grinning like a chesire cat. An ugly one, with cruel eyes and snake- like features. He strode over and lunged towards my hair, grabbing it in a blur. An odd sound, which I later realised was a groan of pain echoed ,as my hair roots threatened to be ripped apart.
" You have no choice, but to stop your meetings with him. Do you understand my power?", he paused shove my body against the tree. " I can destroy his family , business, even before you can blink Daisuke."
I believed him, his power and money was often seen as corruption in the hierarchy of this town. Most of the politicians were his clients, and often did immense favours for him. After all this time of emotional torture, this was the worst.
" No. I won't allow you to do that!.", My lips parted to spit at his sneering features through gritted teeth.
He shook his head in absurdity kicking me harder against the chest, "Do not test me Daisuke. "
" Fine, I'll stop seeing him. But please don't hurt him!", I pleaded while trembling in the cold. Hatred did no help to destroy master's looming figure , it caused a burning sensation that caused me to shrivel. My knees dropped to the ground, tired of fighting and willing to be pulled by the force of my decisions. It was my heart that cried, sobbing until my body trembled with hurt.
Master seemed content enough with my answer, before spitting into my hair.
" No dinner for you tonight."
I nodded with a defeated smile, that would be the least of my problems uncle.
…
That night, Rin had a restless sleep. He tossed and turned, struggling to gain affection from the covers that cocooned him. In his dream, his bare feet impacted the pebbled floor without an inch of pain. As the soft noise of music alerted his attention, Rin grew attracted to an open space. A man stopped playing the instrument, and chuckled.
" You came Rin, you finally came."
Rin grew attracted to his gentle yet assuring voice, and stepped closer to face the stranger,.
He identified the beautiful stranger, as his new-found love Daisuke.
" I don't hate you for ending it, instead…I thank you for making me smile. ", Daisuke forcibly smiled with glistening eyes. In Rin's mind, the first thought was too hold Daisuke until his blissful smile returned. But instead he was frozen, watching Daisuke as he picked each string to release an awe-inspiring note. Slowly he bled, staining the ancient instrument with droplets of crimson. Daisuke's eyes soon flooded his tears, but the crimson continued to flow into a small river that led to grew teary, battling the inside of his brain to release his love from the cage.
" D-Daisuke…DAISUKE!"
"CHILD,"
Daisuke jolted upright with his heart racing in an uncontroablle rate, he diverted his thoughts towards the comforting hand and revived himself with a few breaths.
" Rin, are you alright?", his grandma inquired with a yawn. " You were screaming out something or rather, and shook the whole house!"
Rin sighed, resting his head against his grandmothers powdered neck.
" Grandma, I have a bad feeling about Daisuke. I feel…I feel as if something terrible's going to happen."
She nodded briefly, before planting a kiss on his forehead. " Then, you should take action before that child."
" Of course."
-knock knock-
Both heads swivelled towards the door at the urgent knocking. Rin shot up and grabbed opent he doorknob, expecting Daisuke to stand there with his beautiful eyes widened and exhilarated. Instead it was just the maid with the glasses, her eyes darting about like some crazy animal on unfamiliar territory.
"Daisuke gave me this to deliver to you!"
While grandma led the poor girl into the kitchen for some warm tea, Rin tore open the letter in excitement. He noticed how weak and crinkled the paper was, obviously written in even more of a hurry.
Rin,
I'm afraid we shouldn't see each other anymore, tomorrow is the last day I stay in this uncle forbids our .
- Daisuke
Rin must have stood for a few minutes just staring at the letter in absolute shock. Words threatened to spill out , before his mouth finally clamped. Anger flooded through his veins, and he threw the remains of the parchment onto the ground. Rin was tempted to rip then crush his feet onto the words, but regretted it almost instantly when he realised that tear drops were visible in the light. He fingered the reminants of the paper delicately, before silently apologising to Daisuke.
" Daisuke…" , Rin muttered into the cracked ceiling. …
I sent the letter a few hours of ago, hating myself for every written word. No I lied Rin, I never once thought it was a summer fling. Uncle was present when I wrote that letter, grabbing my head before shoving it against the table if my hands trembled too much to continue. If those words that stung him, then it pierced me even harder. Once Uncle left, I cried into my blanket. The mirror often reflected my joyful face in the mornings, but now it showed an inhuman version of me with darkened eyes and what seemed dilated eyes. The bruises from Uncle's thrashing showed, so I covered them up with a blanket. Maids were forbidden to deliver me food, and master delivered it personally. A torrent of tears soon followed, and I burrowed my head further into my covers. My official owner has been decided, it was the middle aged man with the foul alcohol breath. I shivered at the prospect of his wrinkled hands running their hands through my body. There was an odd thrashing in my mind, weighing my options for escaping.
But my mind rewarded me with more blankness.
There was a odd knock on the door, I barely looked up and noticed a maid strolling in. Her legs seemed to be covered up by a long skirt, and her inquisitive eyes was determined to deliver the platter onto my table in one piece.
" You may leave it there, my appetite has diminished. ", I gestured under the covers. She refused to turn, and obediently did as she was told. It was typical of maids to be ordered to do so, even sneaking a glance at me was forbidden. The maid headed towards the door and locked it, swinging her eyes to meet mine. I began to protest, realising the atmosphere around this particular maid seemed foreboding.
" Well hello there Daisuke."
" W-Who are you?"
" You don't recognise me, eh?", the maid quirked her eyebrows in disappointment.
I nearly cried in delight when I realised that Rin had strolled into my room, in a maids outfit without my knowledge. We hugged, kissing each other passionately before taking a huge gulp of air.
" R-Rin…I'm so sorry I had to do that."
It felt so natural, and I felt so much at ease as my forehead rested against his beating heart. He exhaled, running his fingers through his hair.
" Grandma went too far disguising me like this, and with the help of lilly I made it!"
" It sure looks persuading, I didn't even recognise would you even do this for me?"
" Because," Rin exhaled as if practised " I love you Daisuke."
I blinked a few times, before hugging him tightly. " I love you too."
Rin laughed with a tint of a blush, before swinging me around with his broad hands clasping my arms. His eyes turned serious, almost dark and they warned me not to resist. My lips automatically clamped shut, analysing his movements as breathtaking.
" I'm taking you away. I have a plan for tomorrow, but you must be at the certain places in order for it to be a success. Do you understand?."
My head managed to nod, before resuming into a spell of dizziness.
"…"
So I listened with every intention to fulfill my part of the deal, determined to prove Rin of my bravery too. We kissed each other passionately, hurrying before master trudged in.
So, did you like it? If you didn't...oh well. No flames, just review
