Jennifer and Sandra were sitting in Jennifer's lounge room, lazing around as they focused on their various sources of entertainment. In Sandra's case, she was reading the book Wicked by Gregory Maguire again, and drawing little pictures of fairies and falling angels in the little art book that she carried everywhere. Meanwhile, Jennifer held her old laptop in her lap as she read various fanfiction stories and a few comics, studying a myriad of topics for the stories that always managed to come to mind for her - such as the proper measurements for bra sizes and exactly what deviant meant - and typing small, quick notes into a word document. A movie was playing in the background, providing noise so they weren't pressured by the silence, as they focused on their different tasks.

Sandra glanced up from her book and watched a certain scene from the movie. It was Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland, and the scene where Alice asked the Mad Hatter why a raven was like a writing desk, and he replied that he didn't know. Sandra thought about the question for a moment, before turning to her friend.

"Hey Jennifer," she asked, and Jennifer hummed in acknowledgement of her pending question as she browsed a Wikipedia entry on how aeroplane engines worked. "Why is a raven like a writing desk?"

Jennifer didn't even look up as she rubbed the tip of her nose, and answered. "Neither can make spaghetti." She stated, before closing the page on aeroplane engines and opening a new one on how to use a spork as a weapon.

"Oh." Sandra thought on the answer for a moment before shrugging, the statement somehow making perfect sense. Though considering its source, it was understandable. "Okay."

She turned back to her book, absently drawing a picture of a raven sitting on a desk staring at a bowl of spaghetti bolognaise, and Jennifer continued researching and typing away on her computer, both content for the moment.
