Disclaimer: I own the characters and the plot (?) maybe.
"All right!" Hannah thought excitedly as she adjusted her waist skirt. She stepped backwards and admired her reflected self in the mirror. She was wearing a long sleeved white shirt and a soft fleece cardigan on it with a dark blue mini-skirt. [Note: You can check out the Japanese autumn style school clothes to get a better idea of the characters' uniforms :)]
"Hannah! You better go now or you will be late for school!" a booming [Do mothers boom?] sound rang through the whole house and the next moment Hannah knew, she heard storming footsteps up the stairs to her cosy room and the door slammed open. It was so loud that Hannah flinched. Her mother, with large puppy brown eyes and soft curled auburn hair, glared down at her with her pan and hands rested on her hip. "If you don't move this minute, I'm going to send your bag flying into the dustbin!"
Uh-oh. She really meant it. "Okay mum! I'm going, I'm going!" Hannah hurriedly shouldered her bag and literally flew down the stairs. Glancing at the clock, she gasped. 10 minutes left to reach her school. What the heck? She grabbed her bread and held it using her mouth, tied her shoe laces and raced out of the door like a lunatic, stuffing the bread in her mouth as she ran. Her mother saw her out and sighed. How can she be late on her FIRST DAY of school?
"Oh yikes. This is really, really bad…" Hannah muttered. She stood rooted to the entrance of the school. The gates had already closed since she was 15 minutes late for school. Hannah sighed and rolled up her sleeves. With her arms folded, she observed the gates and Nashima High, the school she was going to.
Thud, thud, thud. Hannah whipped her head to the source of the thudding foots and saw a tall boy around the same age as her in a long sleeved dark blue buttoned-shirt and long pants running towards her. He skidded to a stop as soon as he saw the school gates closed and with hands resting on his knees, he panted. Hard.
"Are you okay…?" Hannah asked in concern as she stepped forward. The boy turned to her and Hannah saw herself suck into a pair of midnight blue eyes. He had a tall and lean figure and his forehead was partially obscured with dark pitch black hair that was unkempt.
"Wow…" Hannah gaped at him with her eyes wide open. When the guy noticed her mouth hang open, he smiled. Rays, sparkles and glitters came out of his smile that Hannah had to shield her eyes. Nah, I'm just kidding. But you get the idea. It's one killer smile.
Hannah regained her composure and introduced herself. "He…llo… I… I… I am… Han… Hanny."
A long stunned silence between them.
Rave's eyebrow twitched slightly. Then he threw himself into a fit of muffled laughter. Hannah smacked herself mentally and waited till he was done. Rave desperately tried to regain his composure and looked at her calmly.
"Sorry. I mean Hannah."
Then he sighed.
"I am Rave. Okay, Hanny. I mean, Hannah, are you a new student who just transferred to this school?" He asked in a raspy voice.
Hannah nodded, wondering how he knew. Rave stared at her and gave out another sigh.
"Great. Two new students, who are late for school. We are so dead."
Hannah gaped at him again. Then, an idea dawned upon her. She smirked. "Not yet. I got an idea to get us out of this." Rave glanced at her and felt that he had a really bad feeling about it…
