Nothing about my day was exciting, only agonisingly boring and old routine; score full marks, score hot girls and surrounded by a social click that seems to extend by the horizon. But now, I loathed every single minute of it.
The world is no longer colourful and filled with shapes, even the sakura petals that spread its branches and waved its magical petals with a soft sigh. I passed my day in a blur, swiftly manoeuvring past fellow students with a pleasurable grin, whilst managing to hide dark secrets tainted by my past. I felt it, that day as I walked past the train tracks. It's unbelievable I managed to ignore this overwhelming feeling of ' I have everything yet I own nothing '. You'd be easily lost in each corridor and deadly maze of my mind, depressing I know.
Oddly, there was an impulse of time when I felt everything slipped past my wrists, past my fingertips and finally meeting the ground with a golden tendril. Time was a nuisance with that irritating click, I mouthed into the ushering crowd while crushing the frail layer of paper into an insignificant ball. A lapse of time where objects with motion slowed down, and that was the moment of the plunge .Perhaps someone sensed my desired fate, perhaps...one of them just knew my thoughts were torn and bleeding.
"Mother...", I whispered into the wind with a bite as sharp as glass.
Tears leaked from my eyes, destroying all thoughts from my an instance, the wind briskly sneaked under my wind uniform almost urging me to continue. My foot seemed to drag further and further from its original stance, nearing the tracks before purposefully frozen. Sure, I heard screams and voices from passer-by's but then again, they've never seen me before. I was just a good-looking teenager with a sullen face, whom the girls by the cafe checked out and the old men fantasised for groping. I was nobody to them.
Opening my eyes, I acknowledged the pristine sunset that announced the late hours of the evening.
" Without me, you are nothing darling."
"Yes mother."
"Not anymore mother", my voice echoed my solemn thoughts.
One more step closer, and the monstrous engine dared closer until the wind permanently threw me off my feet.A whistle of enclosing air, and the heavenly ground met the side of my head. I blinked, feeling a slight trickle of blood almost mixing into a lighter shade of red down my chest heaved with exhaustion, panting and raking my hand against my clean forehead. There was no blood, no sign of my death. I laid in shock, feeling my ground squirm and mumble in a loud protest. The landing was on soft and warm ground. There was no mistaking it, I had landed on a human. My body quaked violently as I stood up, eyes widened at the sprawled high-school student.
A nerd with the most attractive set of eyes, had saved me. He touched my forehead with cold hands, teasing me with those delicate yet deliciously refreshing pair of hands
"Are you alright?"
Ah, even his voice was beautiful.
Now this was something I had searched for a long time...
