He closes his eyes

And dreams of a maiden,

The brightness of her cheeks shames those stars,

And he thinks

'I then plainly know my hearts dear love'

His new friends tease him,

For she is so far away.

He just says,

'It is enough I may call her mine, there is no one else,

For, can I go forward when my heart is there?'

There will be a day that,

With love's light wings, will he o'erperch these walls that stand between them,

And she will say,

'Call me but love'

And he will consent,

For she is his only love.

He sees her face,

Dancing in his waking hours,

Crying, 'it is my lady, it is my love'.

They will be together,

Someday,

He knows,

For stony limits cannot hold love out,

And the course of true love never did run smooth.

There will be a day that,

With love's light wings, will he o'erperch these walls that stand between them,

And she will say,

'Call me but love'

And he will consent,

For she is his only love.

This was assigned relating to Romeo And Juliet by William Shakespeare. So, some of the lines used are from the play, or lines that are famously related to him. Most is originally work, however.
