These autumn leaves fall about us
and decorate the ground in a brown,
orange, yellow and green display.
We just continue to walk side by side.
I'm sure that each of us, only in mind,
are throwing about contemplations
and wondering where to draw the line.
Your hand has always fit so well in mine.
This is a comfortable silence, filling the
spaces and places from in between,
and all the time that you've been gone.
I am devotion, I will keep holding on.
Then you freeze our steps in time,
and turn to me, your heart in your eyes,
"Maybe we should get married."
and all of a sudden, the stars are aligned.
