"And it was just…weird."

"I can tell." Ethan sighed. He loved Skylar. He really did. But he preferred the nights when his fiancé didn't have any dreams.

"Yeah, I mean, you had like…devil wings. And you kidnapped me. And there was this knight who came to rescue me…who was Dominic…"

Ethan stared at him. "Please don't ever say that again."

"You ate him anyway. It was disgusting. You just opened your jaw and swallowed him whole."

The blond laughed. "Never mind. That sounds so wrong. Let's totally tell him about it. Were you a princess, too?" Ethan asked, taking a bite of pancakes. Pancakes that he had made and Skylar had yet to even thank him for.

Skylar covered the fluffy buttermilk pancakes with syrup. Heathen. "No. Ass. I was not. I was a dragon."

Ethan couldn't help it. He snorted with laughter. "You're lying."

"No, I'm not. A green dragon, with scales and wings and fire breath."

"What the hell were you thinking about before you went to sleep?" Ethan demanded. He knew what he had wanted Skylar to be thinking about. But if that was what he dreamt about, Ethan doubted it.

"…Things." Skylar replied stubbornly, drinking his milk.

"Skylar," Ethan said, keeping his voice low, knowing the effect that had on the black-haired man.

Skylar turned red. "No."

"Yes," he insisted, using the same tone.

"I was…thinking about…um. I talked to your sister yesterday, and she told me that you used to have fantasies about being a prince going to rescue people. And I was thinking about that."

"Why?"

"I don't know…I thought it was kind of cute…"

Ethan grinned. He could feel his cheeks stretching with it. "Oh, really now?"

Skylar eyed him warily. "Yes. Why?"

"Cause I think maybe we can make those fantasies a little more…real."

Skylar flushed. "Well, we do have all day free…but I was going to clean the carpets."

Ethan leered. "We can do it afterwards. They'll probably need to be cleaned."

Skylar flushed and buried his face in his arms. "You're horrible. Why did I agree to marry you?"

"Why did you have a dream about me as a kidnapping demon that you couldn't even fight off in dragon form?"

"Who says I wanted to?"

Ethan laughed. "Exactly my point, my love."

A/N: Whenever I think I'm never going to upate this again, it seems like I write something for it. This was actually written in class, off of the prompt of a character telling another about a dream he or she had. This is what came out. I think Ethan and Skylar are about...25 or 26 now? Skylar's graduated, Ethan's in med school.
