She feels enabled to comfort him in his time of need, how cliché. Darrien knows he isn't worth the pain and the tears, but she holds on for dear life to his love that he always abandons.

She decides to abandon him.

Darrien leaves forever. Or so she thought she was leaving for life.

He appeared on her doorstep months after, handing her a dozen roses.

"I'll love you until the last rose dies," he replied.

Darrien shut the door in his face as she blew him off. I don't need him, I want to forget him. She turns to go to her kitchen, hoping her disposer will rid of the red petals.

Three days later, she hears that he's passed away with cancer. She regrets the past and not telling him she loved him, too. As she did so dearly with her heart. Gavin played her too much, but she never knew he was only wanting someone there.

Someone to be able to be there.

She never knew it could be her.

It's too later, she regrets.

Darrien kneels at his grave everyday to tell him that she's sorry, but she doesn't want anyone's pity. She knows she doesn't deserve it.

"I love you, too."

Author's Note: Okay, I know that this is short and not really anything at all. But I guess it just meant a lot to me. I don't know why, but I get small inspiration ideas all the time. I hope you liked, even if it's sad. :| R&R.
