Kara sat and waited for her friend to come back.

"Kara? What are you doing here?"

"We need to talk Kury.''

Tears ran down the girl's face.

But the rain covered them.

She had no jacket or umbrellla.

Just the clothes on her back and a broken heart.

She started to play with the plastic flowers in her hand.

Kury was 14.

Had aburn hair and green eyes.

She couldn't see out of her right eye.

She suddenly turned to walk away.

''Come on we're just talking!"

Kury offered a small smile.

Kara smiled back and motioned to an empty spot beside her.

Kury's eyes darted toward an open window.

''I know what caused that bruise on your cheek."

''Kara..."

"Kury! He's beating you senseless!"

"I knew it." She whispered to the wind.

"He was hurting you.''

She began wiping the tears away.

But they just kept coming.

"IT'S NONE OF YOUR CONCERN!''

"YOUR MY BEST FRIEND! I'LL GIVE YOU ONE MORE CHANCE! LET ME HELP YOU! I KNOW BEST!"

''No Kara...''

''Fine! But if you need me. You know where to find me."

"Yeah."

"Kury your like my sister. I just want to help."

"I know. Could you just get out of here?"

Kara left.

"You were so stubborn. You wanted to be a big girl."

The girl said shakily.

Kury hadn't called in awhile.

It was starting to scare her.

Kara would sit by the phone.

'Till one day it rung.

''Kara..?" Kara knew the voice on the other end.

"Siclearia? What's wrong?"

"It's Kury!"

Kara nearly dropped the phone.

''He went to far this time. He...Kury's father. He was drunk...he hit her in the head with a beer bottle!"

"Where is she?"

"Baton Rouge Hospital..."

Siclearia's voice was different.

It was like she had been crying.

The blonde finally stood.

"TAXI! TAXI!" She yellled waving her hands.

"Where to?" The driver said as the girl climbed in.

"The cemetery." She said sadly.

''Oh. I'm sorry lose!"

"It's okay." She said. She began to play with the flowers again.

Kara arrived at the hospital.

"Kara!"

Kayla yelled as she grabbed the crying girl into a tight hug.

"Is Kury okay?" Kara asked.

"None of us, not even the doctors know!"

A doctor apperead at the door.

Kara ran up to him.

"Is Kury okay?"

The doctor's face turned sober.

"That's what I came to tell you...Kury wants to see you all. It is very possible she won't survive."

She gripped the flowers pain-stricken.

"Well, We're here!"

"I'm gonna be awhile.''

"Oh that's okay. I won't even leave the motor running!''

''Thanks.'' She smiled weakly.

She had red bandages around her head.

"Kara I should've listened to you."

"I love you all. Don't forget me okay?"

Kara grabbed Kury's hand.

''Don't talk like that! Your gonna be okay!"

''We both know that's not true.''

Kury's eyes shut...and didn't open.

They left.

But Kara heard the words:'Time of death 4:00 am Name:Kury Spice Age:14

Kury was gone.

Kara opened the gates to the grave-yard.

She found what she was looking for.

"Hey! I told you I'd come didn't I?"

The gravestone said: 'Kury Spice. A broken heart that the world forgot.'

Angels decorated the stone.

"Your dad is in jail." Kara said running her hand across the polished stone.

''He got a life sentence...You would've wanted him to get the death sentence. Wouldn't you? You were always so macabre."

Kara's tears returned.

Her hands turned to fists and she pound the ground.

"WHY YOU? YOU WERE MY SISTER! I HATE YOU FOR DIEING! I HATE HIM FOR KILLING YOU! WE WERE SUPPOSED TO GET MARRIED AT THE SAME TIME! HAVE CHILDREN AT THE SAME HOSPITAL! WHY WERE YOU SO STUBBORN!"

She placed the flowers at the gravestone.

She thought she heard Kury's laughter.

She looked up and saw her ghost.

''The ghost of you...'' Her tears were gone.

"Kara. I'm not completly gone. So you can't see me in the real world! BIG WHOOP! Wait for me! I'll be in the other world waiting!"
