A.N. - After doing this poem on a word-bank prompt, I might wind up doing some more. The words were: history, blind, paws, weave, half-dozen, halogen, slippery, staunch, monolith, and moonrise.

The blind weave their tapestry
and stand staunchly by it
a half-dozen times over,
no matter how slipepry
their transgressions become.

Thus history was written -
in the moonrise of eons
by the paws of divine cats
ensconced in monoliths
waiting for the halogen
to illuminate their dark.
