Halls of Larson

Epilogue

You may have guessed by now that it was I, Ryan Riley, who started this whole story with the prologue for you.

Like I told you, Larson is like no place in the world. Craziest teachers, insane house rivalries, and out of this world events happening every day of our lives. Don't say I didn't warn you about all that.

And now you know about all of my lunatic brothers too. They are an interesting group, aren't they?

I bet you're wondering why I told you this whole story anyway. Well, I didn't really have a choice (and by the way, this epilogue is going to have to be kept shorter than the prologue. Why? Because Mason and Cole keep nagging in my ear. Cole hasn't left for England yet, and Mason didn't start school yet either, so they decided to both bother me here at Notre Dame. Mason, Cole, shut up for a second, will you?)

Hey. This is Cole, adding to Ryan's project while he goes to get a water bottle or something. Haha. Take that Ryan.

And this is Mason.

Wow, original Mase. I wish I came up with that.

Shut up. It's the first thing I could think of.

Okay, I'm back. And sorry about Mason's and Cole's writing. I was going to erase it, but Cole said he'd erase everything I've written if I did. I am not going to take that chance.

Back to the reason why. At my first day of Notre Dame, in my first Writing course, the professor gave us a project, where we tell him about our senior years of high school. He didn't give a specified length, though I doubt he meant over three hundred pages, but there you go. My senior year was more interesting than most (yes, Mason and Cole, you guys had an interesting year too. But mine was still better).

I'll finally be giving it to my professor soon. I daresay he'll get a kick out of some of the things I remember from last year.

Along with the project, the professor asked us to come up with pen names. He didn't want to know who wrote which essay, to assess our true writing abilities or something.

It took me forever to come up with a penname. I kept playing with my brothers' names to see if I could come up with anything.

Jason, Peter, Logan, Aaron. . .can't exclude yourself, I thought, smirking to myself and probably looking like an idiot. But that just seemed to stick, those seven words.

Jason Peter Logan Aaron Can't Exclude Yourself. I came up with the penname JP Lacey. Kind of weird, I know.

And then, of course, a title was needed. I wanted something interesting like 'The Adventures of the Rileys' or 'The Times of Ryan Riley' or something like that, but then I decided to go with something simple, but explained it all.

So there you go. The Halls of Larson, by JP Lacey.

And for all of your sakes (and that includes my brothers, and the eternally annoying Mason and Cole), I better get an A plus. Or I'll never hear the end of it from my father.

By the way, the letters just came out a week or two ago. Larson is officially staying open. Is that really a good thing? I'm not so sure myself, but I know my brothers and their friends will be attending.

Larson Academy is like no other place in the world. That's not always a good thing, like I said, but you know what?

That's not always a bad thing either.
