(Ok, I am SO SORRY for such a long wait! There is no excuse for such a long wait as a full summer long! I will try to get this back and started but a lot of stressful classes this year, still not an excuse. Also, I have very bad grammar, Sorry!
What do I do? Text to that number or not? At this moment, a huge grin appears on my face. Better to regret something done than regret not having doing it and wondering what might have happened. I unlocked the screen and typed in the digits. But what was I supposed to say? Hi? Yeah, ill just start with that!
Hi, Adian! There it goes as I push send… I just about gave up till 20 minutes later, a reply came.
Hello, beautiful was his reply. I think my heart grew wings in that moment. Exiting out of the message, I saved his number to my phone and then started a reply, but what to say. Mmmmm…. I think I'll just stick with how was your day.
How was your day?
Good, yours?
Wonderful, thanks to you!
Lol! So, in a few weeks is Homecoming. I was wondering if you'd like to walk around together after the parade. Then, is the school dance that night, I was wondering if you'd like to go with me, too?
Of course I'll go with you! Oh my goodness! I have never been asked out before. I think my day has just been made!
J Alright, have to go for now, I'll see you tomorrow
J Good-bye!
Wow! Jump out of bed, and going into the living room, I spot my mom on the couch. "Mom, can I go to the dance on Homecoming?" Maybe I should have asked before I said yes to Adian…
"When does it start, what time will you be home, and what day is it?" she replies smoothly.
"Um, can I get details tomorrow and tell you then?"
She gives a small laugh and says "yes!"
"Okay, night-night, Mama."
" Night, hon."
I head back into my room and change into my blue pajamas. There my favorites, being from my grandma. I pull my sheets back and turn the fan on. Then remembering to plug in my computer, I do that then, crawl into bed and turn off the light. I close my eyes, but it's useless because all I can think about is Adian and his beautiful face.
Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep. Punch. Ugh, its to early for an alarm clock to be going off so annoyingly. I lay there for just a second saying to myself "I'll get up in just a minute."
Ten minutes later, Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep. Punch. Okay, I'm up, I'm up.
I dress, eat breakfast, brush my hair, and my teeth. I am ready for school. By the time I make it to the living room, Mom is in there watching the news. The weather man just said a high of 60 for the day, so I dump my stuff on the couch and go get a light jacket. I would have been frozen had I not been paying attention. We head out and arrive in front of the school with 5minutes to spare. Inside, I go to my locker, grabbing my schedule. It is going to be a long day until I get to Computer Applications, then it will go by so fast!
"Good morning, Cassie," says a deep voice behind me. I smile and turn around. I am greeted by a very handsome Adian, dressed in a black t-shirt and blue jeans.
"Good morning," I say with a smile.
"Where are you headed? I'll walk with you there," he volunteers.
"Thanks. That's very nice of you."
"Just trying my best," he says with a smile and laugh!
" I'm going to Band." When we arrive at the band the room, he says he'll see me later in class and heads to his first period.
I knew the day would be slow, excruciatingly slow. Lunch wasn't to bad I guess, I sat with a girl I had meet yesterday. I was eating a piece of pineapple and the next thing I knew Adain had parked himself right next to me!
"Do you mind if I sit with you girls?" Nope!
"Not at all," laughing at myself.
Who came and sat on the other side of him wasn't so pleasant. Beth plopped herself down right next to him, nearly sitting on him.
"Then I guess you wont mind me sitting here to then," she says haughtily. Cathrine and I lift an eyebrow. I wasn't exactly happy about it, she seems like the stuck up kind of girl, one with way to much attitude.
"Hello. Beth, right?" I ask, trying to be polite.
"That's me," she said with a sneer.
Okay, if she's not going to be nice, I'll just ignore her. Turning to Adian, I ask "When is the dance and what time is it?"
"Homecoming is October second. The dance starts at nine but doesn't end till eleven," he says, giving me another smile.
"Wow, you didn't know that? Loser," Beth mutters under her breath but loud enough for the rest of us to hear her.
"If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything, Beth," Adian beets me to my own saying.
" I was just kidding."
"I know you better than that, Beth."
"It's not like she's anything to you. You'd rather have me then her. She's not even pretty!"
"Beth! That's enough." He has a full on glare on his face.
Wow, now that was petty. I start eating again, deciding to ignore her. A very awkard silence follows. I guess she didn't like being ignored because she left five minutes later. The atmosphere of our table was immediately lighter.
"Sorry, she isn't always nice when she doesn't get her way. Hey, bell is getting ready to ring. I'll see you in Computer Apps, alright?"
"See you there, and don't worry about it. I'll learn to ignore it!"
"Yes, but you shouldn't have to," he says with a small smile. "See you later!"
