Hey! This story was cowritten by dancingforever. Check her out! She wrote these drabbles. Enjoy!

I heard
That you're settled down
That you
Found a girl
And you're
Married now

Maia hummed the song, looking at the boy who sat in front of her, smiling and talking to the boy beside him. She thought of this boy's girlfriend, who seemed perfectly perfect in everyway. Would he ever like Maia the way she liked him? She went back to drawing the heart on her binder.

I heard
That your dreams came true
Guess she gave you things
I didn't give to you

Tanner looked intently at Maia, "What are you humming?" He whispered, they weren't supposed to be talking in the strict classroom of the academy.

Maia brushed her fingers through her blonde braid, "A song. The one I'm using for show choir..." She replied with a shrug. Tanner nodded and looked down, drawing on a sheet of paper.

"I'm not doing show choir. Not really my thing." He spoke. Maia was surprised, considering he did everything for choir.

Old friend
Why are you so shy?
Ain't like you to hold back
Or hide from the light

Maia went back to humming, looking at him with sadness. The way he crinkled his brows, the way he smiled softly as he wrote, the way he smiled goofily when he talked. Maia's heart ached and turned away. He was happy with his perfect girlfriend. Not her.

I hate to turn up out of the blue, uninvited
But I couldn't stay away, I couldn't fight it
I had hoped you'd see my face and that you'd be reminded
That for me it isn't over

Maia sighed and bit her lip. She started to hum louder. Maybe she should give up on him, find someone else.

Never mind
I'll find someone like you
I wish nothing but the best for you too
"Don't forget me", I begged
"I'll remember", you said
"Sometimes it lasts in love
But sometimes it hurts instead."
Sometimes it lasts in love
But sometimes it hurts instead

"Who's humming?" The teacher asked in her monotone voice. Maia looked up in shock, meeting Tanner's playful brown eyes. He raised his eyebrows and Maia smiled softly, which Tanner replied with a broad smile. Maia's heart fluttered and she fell back again, deeper and deeper.

Sometimes it lasts in love
But sometimes it hurts instead.

I take these pills to make me thin
I dye my hair, and cut my skin
I tried everything, to make them see me
But all they see, is someone that's not me

Hannah walked down the hallways, tears streaking her face. People could be so cruel, so terrible. She rushed into the classroom and sat down, choking down her sobs. Her classmates looked at her and rolled their eyes, thinking she was doing this for attention. Hannah looked up and brushed her blonde hair from her face. She looked up at the boy she loved, the one who broke her down so much.

Even when I'm walking on a wire
Even when I sat myself on fire
Why do I always feel invisible, invisible
Everyday I try to look my best
Even though inside I'm such a mess
Why do I always feel invisible, invisible

She looked at him, hoping for him to see her, as her. Not the Rachel want to be, not the spoiled brat, not the drama queen. She wanted him to see HER. The timid, shy girl who just wants her fairytale. He nodded and looked at her. Her heart fluttered as he smiled softly, then turned around to talk to Owen.

Here inside, my quiet heart
You cannot hear, my cries for help
I tried everything, to make them see me
But every one, sees what I can't be

Invisible, invisible. That's how she felt. Hannah closed her and imagined her prince, the boy who didn't laugh at her, who didn't look at other girls. He looked at her.

Sometimes when I'm alone
I pretend that I'm a queen
It's almost believable

Hannah looked up as Blayne took another girls hand.

Even though inside I'm such a mess
Why do I always feel invisible, invisible
