Yuki silently spent his time behind the walls. He thought that his parents were always paranoid but he never thought that it will become like this.

His hand hovered over the left part of his chest as he touched the wall gentle with the other. And he silently grieved for his life and his freedom.

Mika was a thief. With the people whom she called "friends", they barged into rich people's homes and stole anything they can.

Mika knew that this was wrong but she had joined such activities because she was invited by Taku-Senpai. Taku was someone Mika adored greatly so that was the reason why she had joined the group. But sometimes she wonders when she can stop. After all, everyday she was living in fear for the day she will get caught.

He felt like a caged bird. A bird forbidden to leave the place where his parents called the "safe haven".

So that was why he kept a bird. It was a bird with beautiful dark blue feathers and ironically Yuki named it Liberté, or freedom in French. Freedom… Something he and Liberté can never have.

In a rare visit by his mother, she had asked, "Shouldn't you let this bird go? I feel sorry for it…"

Yuki smiled gently before he answered, "I wanted someone to understand how I feel. A someone who I can talk to…"

With that, his mother couldn't say anything more.

"Mika!" Mika heard a voice call from behind her. She turned to find Taku-Senpai approach her with a large smile on his face.

"Taku-Senpai."

It was the middle of lunchtime at Mika's high school and she was on the way back to her classroom.

Taku slowly approached Mika and wrapped his arms around her frail shoulders. The sudden closeness caused Mika to blush in embarrassment after all, Taku was someone Mika looked up to, so she couldn't help but sometimes dream…

"We have a new target tonight" Taku whispered into her ear.

"T-tonight?" This is where Mika started to panic.

"Yup tonight, so see you at school at ten." Then with that, Taku left Mika with her own panic and fear.

It felt strange for Yuki, the slow thumping of his heart.

Badump, badump…

The slow beating of his poor heart. He was alive yet…

He sighed. Like always he was forced to stay in bed with a book lying open in his hands. He quickly peered out his window to find that insufferable wall that trapped him cruelly.

His countdown continues as he spends his life inside the walls.
