(A/N: OmA! I am SO SORRY I haven't updated in ages! So, so, so, so sorry. I've been really busy with school and everything...
My birthday is coming up. I really want to try to get a oneshot out on my birthday, but i don't think I will since I won't be home that day.
I do have chapters for The Matchmaker and Secrets Told In The Stairwell finished, and am still currently working on the next chapter of LIKE.
Do you guys want to take a vote or something, and tell me if I should just post the next chapter of STitS anyway, even though it contains spoilers in relation to LIKE?
Also, I'm working on a oneshot-like-thing focusing on Zoe (from LIKE) if any of you are interested in that. Anyway, here's this to keep you entertained while I work on LIKE and Anne's letters...)
Rory looked out the window silently.
"Rehji," he said softly, his velvety voice seeming even quieter than usual as the rain sprayed the house from outside, "Come here."
His nearly silent boyfriend approached him quietly, wrapping an arm around his waist gently to tell him that he was beside him.
"Is something the matter, beautiful?"
Rory shook his head, leaning against Rehji gently, looking up at him, searching for his lips.
Rehji chuckled, leaning down and kissing him softly.
"You're beautiful, Rory..."
"Do you know what day it is, dearest?"
Rehji smiled, hugging Rory close to him. A hand went to Rory's neckline, tracing the thin necklace chain very lightly.
"Yes, I know what day it is," Rehji mused.
"It's the day after 9-11..."
"Yes...It's also the day you proposed to me, Amor," Rehji whispered softly. "Do you remember what you said?"
Rory smiled slightly, humming softly as he nodded.
"I remember. I asked you for help kneeling, and looked up where I thought you were. As it turns out, you were standing beside me," they both chuckled softly, and Rehji nodded as he listened, "and I said 'Rehji, my love...my shining angel, will you promise to love me forever? Will you love me and marry me and hold me at night? I want there to be a reason to celebrate, even when the rest of the country is grieving. I want to find light, even in this gloomy situation. More than anything, Rehji, I want to be with you.'"
"And I looked down at you, and I could barely speak. Then I smiled, and I knelt down in front of you, and I said, 'Rory, I love you, more than you will ever know. And I will do anything for you, and I will do anything with you, and I will stay with you and love you until the day I die. And I'll be there even after that.'"
Rory smiled at him, pressing lightly against him so that he could listen to the soothing beat of Rehji's heart.
"And you did..."
"And I did..." Rehji answered softly, kissing him gently.
"I love you, beautiful..."
"How do you know if I'm beautiful when you can't see, Rory?"
"I know you're beautiful, because I dreamt of you. Because I can feel you...your soft, delicate lips...your smooth, cool hands...your silky hair...the way you breathe...the things you say, how you say them...the little things you do...your beliefs...I just know you are."
The taller brunet male smiled, kissing the top of Rory's head lightly.
"I love you. You know that, don't you," he whispered in the smaller teen's ear.
To which Rory replied, "I know. I love you too, Amor. Happy anniversary."
(So, if you couldn't tell, Rory is blind.
Also, Amor = Latin for 'love'.
Sorry it was so short...I'll reply to any reviews in a PM, since there won't be any more chapters with these two...)
