Wrote this in my free time at school and felt like sharing. Written September 2011.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry
To cheer and rejoice, or die inside
To sigh in relief or sigh in concern
To smile or frown as I watch you burn.

I don't know whether to speak up or keep quiet
To keep my mouth shut or to start a riot
To scream from the rooftops and let the world know
That I knew this would happen; I told you so.

But no matter what I decide to do,
The truth of the matter? I pity you.
For the pain is devastating, I know
You caused me to feel this way long ago.

Don't let it destroy you – it fades in time.
That being said, I conclude this rhyme.
For the past is behind me, please let it stay
So your memories won't haunt me another day.
