the stars melting from the cold, cold sky.

i found persephone washed up along the shore,
choked out of the current because she didn't know
how to drown. (i offered to teach her, but she said
she'd had enough adventures for today.)

this is the first poem i've written that- personally- i've liked, in awhile. :) it's also posted as a chapter in my newest pillowbook, act five: "always a step behind". i think... i think i'm going to go somewhere; i can't get lost this time. i need answers.
