A Forgotten Dedication

W.H. Auden wrote a poem for you
It was written for you,
I know it was written for you.

It states "stop all the clocks, cut off the telephone"
For no help can come through its muffled tone,
If your voice does not sound,
To reassure my own.

It states "pack up the moon and dismantle the sun"
If ever from this world you should be gone.
For what good is the light,
When you are not my sun.

This poem,
Nameless ode,
It was written for you,
I feel it was written for you

And it states "he was my North, my South, my East, my West"
I have no direction now,
I can have no rest,
But do not worry for me,
I will join you soon,
Continue admiring you
Far, from the moon.
