So, this is the story of how Theron and Liela, two of my characters from Restriction, a collaborative story with friends, met and fell in love. This story itself will be told through Theron's point of view and diary entries from Liela. Please enjoy!

Liela's Diary

~August 5th, 2010~

I've never been able to keep a diary, just the whole idea of writing all of my thoughts in a book scares me. It seemed terrible, everything I could hate myself for later written in a book. But... I really feel like I should explain everything that has just happened. It's strange really, how your life can change so fast and no one warns you. I mean, no one warned me that I was going to sitting in my apartment at three in the morning, recovering from a vampire attack. That's right, vampire. I guess I should start at the beginning.

Brandon and I had another fight. This time though, it got really bad, we were both screaming at the top of our lungs. It was the same thing as always, he wanted me to change in way I have no desire to and I made this known. Then out of the blue, he broke up with me. Needless to say, I was shocked. I mean we fought, not all the time, but it happened. I didn't think anything was different this time, nothing seemed different. However am proud to say I didn't grovel or beg, I just grabbed my stuff and walked out. Yeah I was crying but who can blame me? It's not easy to watch your whole four year relationship go down to toilet. I mean, I'd known the guy since high school and then three years later we met by chance, confessed we had liked each other back in high school and decided to give it a go. That little coffee date turned into four year relationship. A relationship I thought would work out.

Shoot, I'm crying again, perfect. Just great, I'm going to get salty water all over the paper.

Anyways, after I left his house I decided to walk home. I know, I know, Chicago at night, not safe. But my apartment was only a few blocks over, I thought I would be fine. I actually was only a building away from mine when suddenly my mouth was covered by a large hand! I was, of course, freaking out. Not like it would do any good, there was absolutely no one around and every building was dark. The man's other arm, because it was definitely a man, snaked around my waist holding me tightly against his body. He started dragging me into the alley and, well you can guess what I was thinking. I was sure I was about to get raped and left to die!

I'm not weak, despite how I look, so I jabbed the man in the ribs as best I could and torn myself free. The man grunted a little, although now that I think about it, it sounded much more like a growl, a low, animalistic growl. Hoping I had at least inflicted some damage I started to run. I didn't make it very far before he somehow got in front of me and blocked off the only entrance to the alley. He started walking towards me and I knew it was over, I couldn't win against him, he had to be over six feet tall! It wasn't until he got quite close to me that I got a look at him. The shadows hid most of his face and all I could see were two glowing, red eyes, covered by shaggy dark hair. It was scary, I'm sure those red eyes are going to haunt me for many nights. The thing that caught me the most was that, glistening in the small amounts of light, were two long, sharp canine teeth. Fangs, he had fangs. It was the only thought running through my mind at that moment.

He took another step towards me and at that moment my mind cleared and I understood the situation completely. He was a vampire, that was the only explanation. He was hungry and I was, by nature, his prey. He had caught me, whether I liked it or not. He most likely didn't want to hurt me anymore than killing me and taking my blood. Gee, that's reassuring.

"You're a vampire." I spoke it as a statement and he stopped. Then slowly he nodded. Gathering courage I continued, "And I'm assuming you are hungry," No response, "Well, I just want to tell you, you have my permission to drink my blood." He tilted his head a little in confusion. That's right, confusion. It seems I had actually been able to confuse a vampire. Score one point for Liela.

"I hardly believe that you are in any position to give me permission." I almost fell over. I wasn't expecting him to speak and his voice, honestly, scared me shitless. His voice was cold and seemingly hard as stone. It was deep and had an accent I couldn't quite place.

Suddenly like a flash he grabbed me and pushed me against the rough, brick wall of one of the buildings. It wasn't hard really, but it definitely wasn't gentle either. I didn't scream this time, there was no point. I felt one of his hands brushing my hair away from my neck and suddenly my shoulder exploded in pain. I wanted to scream but I didn't because after the initial shock I could feel myself going numb. The world tilted a little and I felt myself slowly losing consciousness.

When I woke up I was lying on the couch in my apartment, in the same clothes. Looking at the clock I realized it was about three in the morning. I felt dizzy and light-headed and for a moment I thought it had all been a dream. I knew it wasn't a dream however, when I went to the bathroom there were two puncture marks on my neck. As you can see, that didn't stop me from pulling out a diary I got for my birthday a few years ago and writing the strangest experience I have ever had in it.

First chapter done! Thanks for reading, Also review if you want. I'd really appreciate it.
