Nowhere, USA

Nowhere, USA
Rating: G

Sixteen houses,
One empty lot,
In a neighborhood,
In Nowhere, USA.

Fifty permanent residents,
Maybe more,
In a neighborhood,
In Nowhere, USA.

A place,
Where families come and go,
Come back to visit,
Never stay.

One house,
Under siege by Customs,
No one lives there now.
In a neighborhood,
In Nowhere, USA.

One house,
That's where the crazy lady lived.
No more fist fights in the street.
She's gone now.

Football,
In the street,
In the summer,
Flying from the top of the hill,
To the bottom.

Cars don't come through here,
Only the nutty guy on his Harley,
You can hear him coming for miles.
In a neighborhood,
In Nowhere, USA.

The rain comes down,
Into car windows,
Onto leaking rooftops.
Staining the dirt with a rich smell.
This is my neighborhood,
Nowhere, USA.
