The veterans who haven't fought quite
as hard or long as we haveā€¦

To her, for moving so often from emotion to emotion,
and never really making it clear if she hated or loved.
To her, for leaving us behind because someone before her did,
and remembering the importance of chairs so much.
To him, for accepting his dub as the baby of the family,
and acting like everything went back to normal.
To her, for knowing the true depths of her talent,
and asking us a question we all knew the answer to.
To him, for being able to command us but never risking it,
and keeping that hat for so long only to lose it this year.
To her, for taking everything we gave her,
and never once considering changing herself for us.
