Phebe: What's going on?
Annime: You will find out! XD
The moment Phebe entered the main building a boy walked straight over to her. He was about a foot taller than her. He had medium-brown and straight hair. His hazel eyes seemed to smile.
"Hello, I'm Spencer Adams," the boy said. "You must be new here."
"I am," Phebe admitted.
"So, I'm guessing that you don't know your way around here."
"I honestly have no clue."
"Well, it's a good thing you found me because it's my job to help newcomers just like you."
"Thanks," Phebe said. "Right now I need to find out where I get my classes."
"Ok, just step this way." Spencer told the girl and her mother as he started to walk down the hall.
The walls around the three were painted in purple and yellow. It made sense to Phebe because those were the school's colors. There were also locked, glass cabinets filled with trophies from basketball, baseball, tennis, and (what made Phebe REALLY excited) figure skating.
Phebe had started figure skating when she was three. It was soon after her aunt had taken her to the local ice ring. The four-year-old red-head fell in love with the sport the moment she set foot on the ice, and-surprisingly- she was REALLY good at it right away. She was accepted to be on the local skating team when she turned five and then the state team when she was eight. This was the main reason that Gladwin Academy had accepted her into their program.
Spencer led the red haired girl and her mother to a room with tables and lines of people waiting to talk to those behind the table. The brunette boy looked at every line and scratched his head.
"Well, I'm going to be done with my shift in an hour," he mumbled. "And I can't just leave you two without showing you to your classes…" Spencer looked at Phebe and narrowed his eyes. "Tell me- what is your name again?"
"Phebe," she said. "My name is Phebe Nowell." Spencer nodded and left to go get her schedule.
"I'm glad we ran into that nice boy," Mrs. Nowell said. "I don't like how long those lines are."
"Neither do I," agreed Phebe.
Spencer made his way to one of the teachers slowly. His eyes were still narrowed and his mind was flooded in thought.
'What is with her?' Spencer questioned in his head. 'I mean, she seems so…familiar. But…it's not the kind in which I met her before…' He paused in his thoughts as he talked to the teacher.
This teacher was one he picked purposely. His name was Mr. Harrington. He had green eyes and light blonde hair. Spencer had befriended this teacher all the way back in kindergarten, and he knew Spencer's deepest secret…
Spencer was a stone keeper. He was the keeper of the electric stone.
Mr. Harrington actually knew all of the stone keepers, and he knew the legend of each one. Not just that, but his father was a stone keeper, so he had a spiritual and emotional connection to each one. And-oddly to Spencer- all of the stone keepers went to the same school.
"Hello, Mr. Harrington," Spencer spoke with a smile. "I was wondering if I could have a student's schedule.
"It depends," the teacher replied. "Who is it?"
"Her name is Phebe Nowell," Spencer said. Mr. Harrington looked through his files until he finally found the girl's schedule.
"Oh, she a new student," the adult pointed out. "Why are you so interested in this girl?"
Spencer was distracted by the angry line behind him for a minute before scooping down and whispering to the elder, "She's…different. I don't know how to explain it…but…I want to get to know her better." Mr. Harrington raised his eyebrows at this.
The teacher hadn't heard the young man say this since he met the other stone keepers. Mr. Harrington looked over at the girl in the background who was standing out of line. He then looked back at Spencer.
"Is she that red-head over there?" Mr. Harrington questioned. When Spencer nodded, the elder handed him the file. "You get to know her, and make sure I meet her." The teen nodded and left to go back to the girl.
Chase walked with Gwen towards the science lab. The brown haired girl was curious to why the boy was coming with her. He didn't like science, even if it was one of his best subjects.
"Is there something you need?" Gwen asked in a suspicious, yet annoyed tone.
"Yes actually," Chase answered as he continued to walk by her side. "Do you know anything else about this Phebe girl?"
"Besides the fact that she has good grades, likes to figure skate, and that she has a clean criminal record, no."
"Could you find out more?"
"What is it that you want to know?"
"I want to know what she is like."
Gwen crossed her arms at smirked. "Well, 'Mr. Popularity', that research is what you call talking to her and getting to know her." Chase glared at the girl's smart eleck remark as they entered the science lab.
"Ha, ha- thank you SO MUCH for your help!" Chase half snapped. Gwen giggled at his sarcasm and went over to one of the sinks. Chase followed her with a new curiosity as she washed her hands.
"What are you doing?" the black haired boy asked.
"I'm getting ready to make something," Gwen said.
"But the cooking class is down the hall," he told her. The girl only laughed before replying.
"Well, I can cook just as well here. I DO want to cook my best for the new comer, right?"
Chase just stared at Gwen for a moment. "Gwen…you are one WEIRD chick!"
Spencer led Phebe and her mother down a long hallway lined with doors. It wasn't that wide, so the young girl was a little nervous about how she was going to get through here during passing time.
"Don't worry," the older boy spoke as he seemed to read her mind. "These are just the teacher's personal offices during their conference hours." The male teen then led the younger down another hallway that was a lot wider. "This is the hallway where all of the science classes take place."
"I have Mr. Jansen as my science teacher," Phebe mumbled. Spencer nodded as he walked down the hall. The red head and her mother followed close behind.
They stopped at a door in the middle of the hall to their right. The three blinked as they heard laughter and screams from the other side of the door. Phebe tilted her head as Spencer opened the door to find two other teenagers throwing water at each other.
One of them was a female and the other was a male. The male had blue eyes and black, spiky hair. The girl had lighter blue eyes and light brown hair.
Spencer laughed as he knocked on the already opened door. The two stopped in mid throw and looked over at the group. They blinked before looking at each other. Spencer chuckled again and reclosed the door.
"Let's give them some privacy," he told the two he was leading before continuing the tour.
