-It was going to be about a child praying, but it kind of just turned out to be about a child being watched over by God and falling asleep. -

At night as I lay,

Enfolded in sleep,

I'll give you my soul,

It's yours to keep.

As long as you watch me,

Through the night,

I'll let go of my dreams,

And let them take flight.

I won't be scared,

Of the monsters around,

The spooky, dark shadows,

That creepy, soft sound.

I know they're not there,

My mommy said so,

So as darkness transcends,

I willingly let go.

The light fades away,

My muscles go numb.

I don't try to fight,

As sleep finally comes.
