Poltroon- A wretched coward

For six months, I waited at the door, hoping against hope, that magically today as the day. And for six months I was continuously disappointed. But then I grew a tougher skin. I learned to deal with the tragedies of everyday life, to cope with my hardships, and put up a barrier. I lost that magical element of forgiveness that all children seem to possess. And so now, almost ten years later you waltz back into my life and expect a place. Obviously you never expected that I would see your cowardice, and close the door. Obviously, you were not expecting me.
