Jessica took a look around the cabin that Justin had rented for their three-year anniversary. She could hardly believe that it had been three years since they got married. She idly twirled her wedding rings around her finger and jumped a little when Justin dropped their luggage down.
"Isn't it perfect?" Justin asked as he wrapped his arms around Jessica's waist.
"It is; thank you so much for doing this," Jessica told him as she turned to wrap her arms around Justin's neck.
"You're welcome. I'm just glad we could find a week to get away," Justin replied before he captured her lips.
It had taken a few months for the two to get the trip planned; Jessica always left the weekend of their anniversary blocked so they could spend time together and celebrate. It had become considerably more difficult for Justin to get away since he started his rotations in psychiatric units in the city.
"I thought you'd enjoy the weekend to go snowboarding. Plus I hear the main lodge has a fantastic spa."
Jessica smiled and squeezed Justin a little bit tighter. She was exhausted after the busy summer season and Abbey's move back to Denver with her four-year-old son Devon. She had given up on finding Devon's father and having her happily ever after. Abbie chose to switch careers finding that teaching wasn't something she truly enjoyed any longer; she was set to graduate nursing school that December.
"So did you already ship out my board and gear?" Jessica asked.
"Yeah, Anne and Anthony had it sent over from their Connecticut home. It's becoming really difficult to keep up with our equipment," Justin laughed.
"Oh you need to thank them for me. I'm so glad they did that; that's my favorite board," Jessica smiled.
"I had dinner catered in tonight, and the caretaker stocked the fridge with groceries earlier today. So it's just the two of us, the slopes, and one week of sheer wedded bliss," Justin told Jessica.
Jessica smiled and then kicked off her Ugg boots and moved to unpack their suitcases into the armoire and dresser. She was exhausted from the trip so she planned to curl up with a book in front of the fireplace in the living room as soon as she was finished.
Justin left Jessica to unpack. He had learned over the years that Jessica had OCD when it came to how her clothes were arranged. He remembered the first time he had tried to do laundry to surprise Jessica and had nearly lost his balls in the process. He chuckled at the memory and went to the kitchen to make two cups of hot cocoa.
"Justin!" Jessica yelled from the bedroom.
"What honey?" Justin called back, stirring the cocoa into the steaming milk.
"Did I pack my purple pajama set? I really want them!"
Justin shook his head and thought back to yesterday when they were packing. Jessica had been pretty scatterbrained lately and it was starting to really worry Justin. He knew people could forget things, but this was beyond what could be considered normal.
"I don't know if you packed them or not Jess," Justin said as he reentered the bedroom.
"Oh is that hot cocoa?" Jessica asked, taking the steaming mug from Justin.
"Yes, my love; hot chocolate just for you."
Jessica laughed and took a sip from the mug. She tried not to cry because she couldn't find her pajamas she was so set on having. It was a stupid thing to get upset over, she knew that, but for how tired she was from traveling the simplest thing could set her off.
"I still can't find my pajamas," Jessica pouted.
"Well you can steal mine you know," Justin smiled and dug out his flannel pants and a v-neck shirt out of his suitcase.
"You're so brilliant," Jessica smiled and kissed Justin.
"That's why you married me."
Justin wrapped his arms around Jessica and pulled her closer to him and his hands immediately wandered to her ass. When she moaned into his mouth it took all of his self-control to not just rip her clothes off. He slowly pulled Jessica's shirt up off over her head. After throwing the shirt across the room and unhooked the lace bra that covered her breasts.
"Justin," Jessica moaned as Justin's fingers trailed over her nipples.
"The bed," Justin ground out as he shoved Jessica backwards.
The moment she was underneath Justin, Jessica immediately started reaching for his pants and her own as well. As they shed their clothes and he finally entered her, they both released a relieved moan.
"God I've missed this," Jessica gasped as Justin thrust into her.
"It's only been two days," Justin chuckled.
Justin smiled and latched his lips onto the spot underneath Jessica's ear that always made her lose her breath. As expected he felt her moisture flood around him. He could feel himself getting closer to releasing himself in Jessica and he could feel her muscles tightening around him.
"Shit, I'm so close," Jessica gasped.
"Let go baby," Justin told her.
As he felt Jessica's walls clamp down on him, Justin felt his own release come from right field. They were both spent and panting heavily. Jessica sighed when Justin pulled himself out of her and pulled her onto his chest.
"That was awesome," Jessica giggled.
"It just keeps getting better," Justin replied burying his nose in her hair.
"And it will continue to. God, it felt like you were just consuming me."
Justin smiled and squeezed Jessica closer.
The next day Jessica dressed herself in her Under Armour gear and started making breakfast. As she took a sip of her coffee she just felt more exhausted. She and Justin had spent half the night tangled in each other.
"Are you making omelets?" Justin asked bleary eyed as he sat down at the island.
"I hadn't planned to; I thought waffles and oatmeal would be better."
Justin shook his head. "No, I need eggs."
"Geez bossy, I'll make you your damn omelets," Jessica smiled.
"I just figure we'll be on the slopes for awhile and protein will last longer than your waffles and oatmeal. But you can have that if you want," Justin told her.
"I plan to eat whatever I want thank you very much," Jessica snarked before cracking open two eggs.
"That's my girl, I'll go lay out the rest of your gear."
Jessica nodded and went back to whipping the eggs. She tried very difficulty intensely to ignore the rolling feeling in her stomach. She had been trying to ignore it for a week or so and it just kept persisting.
Jessica breathed through her mouth to ignore the smell of the eggs as she put them in the pan. This was starting to get ridiculous to Jessica. She hadn't been around anyone with a stomach flu that she knew about and since they flew on Preston's jet to Vermont she couldn't even blame it on flying commercial.
"If it's not better by tomorrow I'll go to an urgent care or something," Jessica mumbled.
"That looks delicious," Justin smiled as he took the plate Jessica offered him.
"Thanks, I'm going to go get dressed and then we can head off okay?" Jessica said as she ran to the bedroom.
Later that night when the two were exhausted and cuddled up on the couch by the fire, Jessica got a whiff of something that smelled awful.
"Ugh, what is that?" Jessica groaned.
"What is what?" Justin asked as he threaded his fingers through Jessica's hair.
"That freaking smell. It's absolutely awful!"
Justin inhaled deeply and didn't smell anything.
"You can't tell me you don't smell that!" Jessica exclaimed and jumped off the couch, sniffing out the offensive smell.
Justin was absolutely baffled as Jessica ran off to the spare bathroom. He responded to the text he got on his phone. As he unlocked his iPhone, a photo of his siblings popped up with a message from his mom.
"They're really having a good time with Bear, but he doesn't seem to be too pleased."
Justin laughed as he studied the photo: Bear was in one of his little sister's doll outfits and looked like he hated life. He immediately texted his mom back to let them know that they needed to be nicer to their precious Jessie's puppy. After thinking about it for a few moments he opened Safari and searched "pregnancy symptoms."
"More tired than usual, increased sense of smell, nausea?" Justin mumbled to himself aloud.
"Whatcha reading?" Jessica smiled as she snuggled back into his side and scaring the hell out of him.
"Oh nothing," he covered, pulling up the photo from his mom. "Did you find the smell?"
Jessica nodded, "It was your socks. Oh, is that my poor dog?"
Justin laughed and confirmed it was indeed Bear. Jessica groaned and buried herself deeper into Justin's side.
"I don't know why they think he's a doll!"
Justin snorted, "Maybe it's because you dress him in sweaters."
"When it's freaking cold outside! No other time really!"
"Sure," Justin laughed.
"So do you want to tell me what you were really looking at?" Jessica asked after a few minutes.
"I Googled something," Justin admitted, thinking deeply about the other symptoms that were listed.
"Care to share?" Jessica asked.
"Promise you won't be angry?"
Jessica nodded and held out her pinky for Justin to link with.
"I think you're pregnant babe," Justin admitted.
"I think you may be right," Jessica admitted, feeling suddenly lightheaded.
"Do you want me to go buy a test?" Justin asked, rubbing circles on Jessica's back.
"Yeah, I think that may be a good idea."AN: OH hey guys! Guess what, I'm back :).
