The Elemental Warriors
Tony Rivers opened his eyes, finding himself in front of a cavern. "What...?" Was all he could say, backing up before feeling something pierce his chest from behind. Looking down, coughing up blood, he saw a black tendril had pierce his chest. It retracted, and he fell to the ground, closing his eyes.
When he opened them again, he saw himself next to his friends, Roy and Piper. He looked to his right. Piper was a girl his age, eleven years old. She had short, pink hair (due to a bet she had lost with Roy) which didn't even reach her shoulders, green eyes, and stood a few inches above him. Her hands her on her hips, eyes narrowed.
Looking to his left, Roy just grimaced, sweating nervously. Roy was ten, turning eleven soon, and stood an entire head above Tony. He had messy red hair and brown eyes. He was a little chubbier than Tony, but still taller that him. "They might spread to our houses."
"What's...?" Tony spoke up and he shook his head. "What's going on?" he looked forward, seeing the woods near their neighborhood suddenly on fire.
Piper let out a huff of annoyance. "Hehe, this isn't a challenge," she laughed out loud. "The problem is," she looked back at the neighborhood. "Will our parents see?"
Roy shrugged, a grin beginning to form on his face. "Doesn't really matter, does it? This looks like a job for you, Pipes. Show us what you've got!" he patted her back. "Well? Do your thing!"
"What's going on?!" Tony yelled, looking around in a panic. "Piper?! Roy?!"
"Crap, look out!" Roy said, pointing over Tony's shoulder. Tony looked behind him, letting out a gasp. A large, canine with black fur approached him. It was bigger than him. "Good luck..." both Piper and Roy said, grinning.
Tony stood frozen as the canine bared its teeth, pouncing at him. His eyes snapped open, suddenly finding himself in a dark room, a spotlight shining down on him. "What?" That was all he could say.
"Don't stand against me," a deep voice boomed, suddenly feeling something grab him. He looked down, seeing hands sprout from the ground, beginning to drag him under. "If you know what's good for you, child. Enjoy the time you have left..."
Tony's eyes snapped open, sitting up on his bed. "What was that...?!" he was sweating profusely, breathing heavily. He looked out his window, seeing the familiar woods from a distance, not on fire. "What a weird dream," Tony shook his head, standing up.
His cell phone began to ring. "Hello?" he said, picking it up.
"Did you have a strange dream?" he heard Piper ask. Tony's eyes widened. "I saw you and Roy in mine. Well?"
"...yeah...yeah, I did."
